    Default Anyone losing interest yet?

As much as I'm a loyal Pacer fan and as much as I hate Ron for what he just did, I must say that I'm fast losing interest on our season. Before Reggie even played his last game I was so looking forward to this year. The year we'd be full strength again. The year we can continue what we started prior to the brawl in Detroit. My mind was conditioned to cheer for JO and Ron and the "revenge of the Pacers". And now we've come full circle. Almost about the time when it all faltered. And yet again we are a broken unit. Internal tension, no more Ron Artest again (only this time for good). The players I didn't particularly like *ehem* Jackson* are the ones I now have to root for, cheer for and DEPEND on. I don't know, I just can't muster enough will to keep believing again. Tonight's game really didn't matter much whether we won or lost. It's very disheartening especially now that there is no #31 to be inspired about. I guess I'll take a break, wait and see who we'll get and just focus on the Colts til then. "Possible Artest trades" have gotten old pretty fast. For all it's worth..

losing interest ,,,, no way... it just got interesting...
who knows what is going to happen next.

Besides the regular season is a marathon, and more than half the teams make the playoffs..etc.... No worries for now...

I'm looking forward to a different style of team and play. Hopefully.

    Seconded.

Might have to dump Carlisle for that though.

I'm a fan through thick and thin. But if our season tanks, I might not wait in suspense for every game - but I'll always remain interested.

Eh, not that different. Mainly I want guys who can make Rick's system go. Solid, unselfish halfcourt offense, good D.

I share your disappointment, but I can't abandon ship. I worked with a guy for a while that was from Detroit and all we did was argue Pistons/Pacers. And after Game 6 I'd been really looking forward to the next season. These were unfortunate roadblocks with Artest and all, but I guess it had to happen. This is a different team from the 61-21 team from a couple of years ago.

Definately not losing interest, I think it will be interesting to see how the guys come together.

By the way, anyone remember how Popovich slowly changed his offensive sets to match his players like Ginobli and Parker? I'm hopeful that given time, Carlisle will loosen up the offense and cater it to what our strengths can be, especially if we get a player who thrives in a up-tempo offense.
