Against my better judgment, I've deleted the improperly formatted article, and merged the replies from the first time this article was posted/ improperly formatted.

If you are new to this thread, LA's version of the article is way down at post #29.

This will NOT be my standard way of dealing with this. If you're going to copy-and-paste an article make sure you've read our rules first. Its pretty simple, really. Even I can figure it out.

My only comment on this article:

Indiana has always liked Antoine Walker

I don't agree with a lot of those plausibility ratings.

Giving the Bulls proposal a "3" is absurd. And giving the Pistons anything over a "1" is hillarious.

The plausibility ratings appear to be off......in the Memphis deal....they mention that the Pacers would want Battier...but West is not likely willing to part with him...then says that they will likely offer Cardinal....then rate the Battier deal as 3 ( right in the middle ) but the Cardinal deal as 1. They do the same for the Atlanta deal....they want to hold on to Harrington til the trade deadline....and more likely to offer Delk/Lue...then give it a 3 then 1 rating.

That's a very cursory analysis. It probably took them longer to set up the formatting for the website than it did to write the article.

A better offer would include Wally Szczerbiak ($10.5 million), but Indiana would have to send back another player. Plausibility rating (Hassell/Madsen/Tskitishvili): 3"

i find it very difficult to believe that "If they could get Artest for Kwame Brown ($7.5 million), they'd do it in a second."

i live in the dc area...and there is no bigger scrub than kwame. the players and fans alike were thrilled to get rid of him.

why whould the pacers have any interest in him?

If those are the only deals with "plausibility" I want no part of any of them with the exception of the Harrington or Maggette deals. Why didn't he include Odom in a Laker deal? That to me is way more plausible than what he suggested.

And God help us all if we give Ron to Miami for Friggin Fatoine! Plausibility of 4?!?!

Going through this....here is a summary of the ones with 3 or 4 ratings:

    Mavs - Multiple options for Artest ( 4 )
Heat - Walker or Posey for Artest ( 4/3 )
    Sixers - WGreen+Korver for Artest ( 4 )
    Kings - Peja for Artest ( 4 )
    Raptors - MoPete for Artest ( 4 )

    Hawks - Harrington for Artest ( 3 )
    Bulls - Thomas for Artest+Croshere ( 3 )
    Grizzlies - Battier for Artest ( 3 )
    TWolves - Hassell/Madsen/Skita for Artest ( 3 )
    Nets - VC for Artest+Foster ( 3 )
    Hornets - Nachbar/Macijauskas/RButler for Artest ( 3 )
    Knicks - Crawford / QRich for Artest ( 3 )
    Suns - Bell+JJackson+Barbosa for Artest ( 3 )
    Wiz - Daniels + Jeffries or Hayes for Artest ( 3 )

Of the suggested deals.....the best one that I like is with the Hawks ( getting back Baby Al and sending Artest to Lottery land ), Grizz ( getting back a solid defender / role player / hard working /hustle type player / model citizen in Battier ), TWolves ( getting back a solid perimeter defender + filler ) and Suns ( getting a very solid perimeter defender who can hit the 3pt shot, 2 solid backup players ).

I laughed at that too. Does he think that they would get a better offer than an all-star and DPOY at the deadline? And what makes him think we would even want Delk/Lue?

I was very disappointed reading this article. I was hoping for some real insight. Many posters here have already come up with more plausible trades than this fool.

Although I am sure the Lakers woudln't mind moving him for Artest.....its unlikely that the Pacers would take him in....hence the rating of 1 of unlikely.

I think they based the ratings off of the liklihood of a deal happening from both ends.....although we may want Odom ( which I am not really in favor of )...it is likely that Kupchak would not want to deal Odom for a very talented but troubled player.

I would guess that the reason that Walker is included in there is the assumption that Bird is in love with the guy ( for whatever warped reason ) and someone like Riley would want to get their hands on a lockdown defender in Artest......hence the liklihood of 4.

My mistake...but I realized that the rating is based off of BOTH GMs wanting the deal to happen....although the likely offer is Delk/Lue....there would be no reason as to why the Pacers do that since they wouldn't want either players.

Default Insider request-Potential Ron trades on BSPN

The main page has dummy on it, and the insider story is 44 trade scenarios ranked from not likely to makes perfect sense...They tease with the Hawks possibilities.....they give Baby Al a 3 (call that a maybe?) and Tyronne Lue + Tony Delk as a 1 (not likely)....

I would love to read the rest of them!

Thanks to whomever can pull this one out for us, I bet it is a good read!

Yes, and I think this one is going to reach the same fate.

Not sure if Able's online, so I guess I need to figure out exactly what the criteria is.

If this is about the HTML formatting and referrers lists, Could you just please disable the wysiwyg editor and be done with it? I'm also sick of folks not adding the necessary hard returns, which the standard editor does automatically.

This is not my area of expertise. However, when you copy and paste articles make sure you're only getting the text. No graphics, no html codes, no intellectual property, just text. And put a referral and a linkback into the post.

Somebody needs to fix this thread soon or its going to be gone. And I don't have time/ interest in fixing it, especially since the article utterly sucks anyway.

Thanks, this issue has become a distraction from talking basketball talk, and you know my feelings about team distractions.
