I don't know if this question has been posed before, but im sure it has. If you had your pick of the Colts or the Pacers to win the Title, who would you chose? For me, its always been the Colts because I think football is a better sport and more people would notice if the Colts won. Any thoughts?

Edit: Justin, i want a response from you on this

That's a tough question. Given the way both teams are playing right now, I'd have to pick the Colts.

Yeah, but even if both teams were playing very well, who would you rather have win a title?

I did expect that a lot here obviously. I do love basketball, but i just think it would mean more for the city to win the superbowl

Overall, being NFL champion is more meaningful than being NBA champion. However, this is Indiana, and winning an NBA title would mean more here. It's still a tough call for me, but I'd have to go with the Pacers.

Pacers! I've been a Pacer fan since before we got the Colts. I've had season tickets to the Pacers for 19 years, but I have watched or listened to most every Colts game since the beginning, so I'd love for them to win it all. I just have a little more emotional attachment to the Pacers.

It looks like the Colts have the best chance of winning a title and sure hope they do, this City needs a Championship.

Colts look they really do want to win a title. I couldn't ask for a more professional team than the Colts, and so I want them to win the title more.

P's - though I have seen a shift in some sense - I am of the opinion that Indianapolis is more of a Pacer town, at least the older Indianapolis natives, we all love our Pacers. The Colts in MY eyes will always be the NEW game in town, and though I've gotten to love them, I still love my P's eternally.

Now if I had to pick broadly over all Indiana teams and clubs, I'd pick the Hoosier hoops team. I know that they'll never move away.

With this current, post 90's Pacer squad....

    I'll take the Colts.

But I would have rather seen Reggie, Dale, Rik, Mark, etc win a title over all others.

Yep, but not for much longer. This Sunday will be the last, actually today is the last day of that for m. Then its just tests which I don't need to study for.

I am of the mind that a Super Bowl championship is more meaningful to the masses than an NBA title.

Either one would be amazing. Right now I must say the Colts because I love everything about their team from top to bottom, and I can't say that about the Pacers at all right now. Some other thoughts that I agree with also. . .

The order of importance of my teams are:

    1a.) Pacers
    1b.) White Sox
    1c.) Colts

Only because I've been a Pacers fan the longest, and a Colts fan only since 96.

I would pick for the Colts to win it all simply because of the respect issue. Indiana is already known as a basketball state. Winning the most recognized and important sporting event outside of the Olympics would really put Indy over the hump of being recognized as a great small market sports town/state, and that to me, as a huge fan of the Colts and Pacers, and a Hoosier native would mean the most.

A close 2nd would obviously be a repeat national championship by my Center Grove Marching Trojans. Or the Pacers, whatever
