Well we've reached the half way point.
The Bucks are team 15 with another 14 still to come. I was hoping to get these done before the playoffs started up. I still might but it's gonna be close. Utah & Washington might run into the first round.
The disclaimers..........
From NBA.com, a story on the Bobcats draft.
http://www.nba.com/bobcats/news/expansion_draft.html
This paragraph has the basic info.
Charlotte will receive lists from each of the 27 teams not competing in the NBA Finals 10 days prior to the scheduled Expansion Draft (June 12) and those from the competing teams in the Finals within two days of the conclusion of the Finals. Team lists will designate a maximum of eight protected players for that team’s players under contract or restricted free agents for the 2004-05 NBA season. The unprotected players are eligible for selection by the Bobcats, who will draft a minimum of 14 players from NBA rosters.

Here is the current Buck team.
Keith Van Horn
Desmond Mason
Toni Kukoc
Joe Smith
Michael Redd
TJ Ford
Marcus Haislip
Brian Skinner
Erick Strickland
Damon Jones
Daniel Santiago
Dan Gadzuric
Brevin Knight
Milwaukee has just 13 total player. 10 players are under contract for next season. 3 are listed as unrestricted free agents, so they can not be protected.

I'll start out by giving spots to Mason, Smith, Redd, Ford & Skinner. That's 5 spots with 3 still open.
Van Horn, Haislip, Strickland, Santiago & Gadzuric
That price tag for Van Horn is really steep. At more than 14M next year the Bucks can leave him out there cause there is no way the Bobcats will bite on that one.
Milwaukee won't be losing much if they leave Haislip off the list. He is so deep on the depth chart he seldom gets to play. Following next years 1.6M he has a "team option" that Charlotte could use to bail on him.
People always have nice things to say about Strickland but it never translates to playing time. I think if he wants to be there next season, he will be. I think his value is in the locker room & at 1.6M he is worth keeping around. Strickland gets spot #6
Santiago is a good young career backup in the making. Following fantasy basketball, I watched him when he was with Phoenix & was happy he found a place to play. He has started 28 pf the 49 games he's played in & at 7-1 260 is still figuring it out. Hoops Hype doesn't list his salary for next season but he is at $638,679 right now. That might put him around 718K next season. Add all that up & Santiago get the 7th spot.
I'll have to admit I'm a little bias when it comes to Gadzuric. I had him last season on my fantasy team & in this years keeper league. Coming off the bench for about 18 MPG he is hitting 53% of his FG, getting about 5 boards & 1.4 blocks. Gadzuric is listed at $563,679 for this season which would put him in the 630K range for next year. No way the Bucks leave this guy off the list. Gadzuric gets the 8th spot.
The Bucks protected list.
Desmond Mason
Joe Smith
Michael Redd
TJ Ford
Brian Skinner
Erick Strickland
Daniel Santiago
Dan Gadzuric
The Bobcats will get to select either.
Keith Van Horn
Marcus Haislip
Charlotte selects Marcus Haislip
