Thread: Dan Dyrek

    Default Dan Dyrek

This seems like too much text to post, so I included the link. Many people slam Dyrek, but I don't think they realize how good he really is. Bird also goes into detail talking about why he didn't disclose injuries (which ties into another thread) as well.

Larry's book is a good read and it sits on one of my shelves.

They don't realize how good he is? This is the guy that just gave Bender a clean bill of health.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

This is the guy who gets people to go as far as they can go. The human body isn't as uncomplicated as we tend to sometimes think. If you read the excerpt you'll see how he helped extend Larry Bird's career, and he also did the same for Smits.

He isn't a magician, so he is limited by his subjects.

The one thing I took away from that article is that Dan Dyrek takes on a lot of lost causes.

Okay, okay... I'll give him a little credit. Maybe he doesn't kill careers. He seems to keep them alive for one to three extra seasons.
