Seriously, I want to see this matchup now. I don't want to wait two or three months. On the flip side, if we can stay injury free, our team will have really gelled by then. But I still want that matchup! Can't wait.

We are getting waaaaay too cocky. We're good right now, but last night showed me we still have work to do. We can't afford to go into 6-7 minutes stretches w/o a field goal again this year. We barely escaped with a win against a team we outplayed for about 95% of the game, and the refs have shown yet again that they are only too happy to help the other team come back.

We have quite a while before we have to worry about Detroit, and I'm glad. We need to work on a few things before that match-up.

I agree. Let's not get cocky about it. But I'm looking forward to the matchup when it arrives!

Yeah we gave up 102 points in regulation and Shaq didn't get the ball enough.

To almost everyone this comment will be premature...maybe even to me, but this is what I think.

I have less fear of the Heat after witnessing that game. I do not think this Heat team is improved over last years' team. In fact, I think there will be a drop off unless something truly magical happens with the combination of talents they bring to the floor.

Williams is not a good fit for the team at all. Losing Damon and Eddie Jones has damaged their perimeter game.

"The glove" is simply not the player he used to be and has not aged well. He is a good backup, but that's about it.

Walker does not appear capable of playing good defense...and to get into the game typically takes several shots in bursts if he hits the first one. This will lead to ill advised shots at times, taking the ball out of Wade and Shaq's hands if they are on the floor...and possibly causing chemistry problems. Walker is a great player, but I think only as the #1 option. That will not work against the Pistons or Pacers. However, if the Heat is able to get Walker to fit into the team well, then I will change my tune. For example, if he ONLY plays when Shaq is on the bench, it might work. All the other players added are irrelevant.

Also, I did not think Shaq moved particularly well. I think his enlarged size, at his age, hurts his defense significantly. He is still a beast on the block but does not appear to have the same lift and quickness on offense as well. Maybe it was an off night. Hopefully it is his new game at 350lbs. I think once we get Scottie back, we will have enough bulk to keep Shaq's numbers in check.

Piston fans should want to wait, we just played a stinker of a game against the Celtics and barely squeaked out a win.

I really dont thino Indy has to worry about anyone besides San Antonio this year. Detroit just doesnt have "it" anymore, and if we stay healthy we definantly do.

Replaceing the great Larry Brown with the mediocre Flip Saunders was the most overlooked move of the season.

Yeah, the "mediocre" Flip Saunders really drew up a horrible final play.....

I'm satisfied with waiting and letting the blowhards eat their crow. I'll let the teams decide who's better before I declare a team "finished." Dismissing either team in NOVEMBER is the epitome of stupidity.

Pistons are never in that situation with Brown or Carisle coaching them. They're up 20 with Maxiell in the game

    Ok, now you're just trolling.

I have too mcuh respect for Indiana to get in a silly flame war with a 12 year old. You aren't worth my time.

Darko and Delfino will have a long adjustment period too.

Delfino had 1 year last year and he played like 15 games.

Darko hasn't played at all before this year.

Not to mention theyre both younger than Granger and Saras. (I think Delfino might be the same age as granger)

They're both extremely gifted, but both will need at least half a season of consistent minutes to get comfortable on the floor.

Even if replacing Larry with Flip was an ill-advised move, that hasn't come to fruition yet. So on what do you base your assertion that Detroit doesn't have "it" anymore?
