    Are you kidding me?

Skaut makes an interesting observation about JO's "false bravado" leadership... nothing new there, but its an interesting twist on it with a bold, and admittedly unpopular prediction.

By the way, Skaut, I've got something for you:

    Welcome to the club.

Then he makes an excellent point, agreed to by many others in the thread, that there is a time and place for posturing and Game #1 against a not-very-good Orlando team is not the time nor place for it.

Now I don't agree with him at all regarding Mutombo, and I've stated before that I think Mutombu is an outright disgrace to sportsmanship and I think its a real Trav-Sham-Mockery that he's ever been awarded a "good citizen" award.

But really, Skaut's post was certainly not unreadable, although you guys have backed off that accusation.

And it wasn't really asinine (Websters, "utterly stupid"), either. You don't agree with the conclusion he's already drawn, and that's what makes the forum go-round. On the other hand, we've been showing a tendency as a forum lately to confuse well-grounded opinions we happen to disagree with as stupidity.

I don't mean to pick on you, Soup, so hopefully this doesn't sound too personal, because its also based somewhat on Jermaniac's rant last night, but goodness gracious sakes alive, if you want a place where everyone is going to agree with you, startup a blog. This isn't "Sunshine Digest" and its not "Dark Side Digest". Its Pacers Digest and we've got Pacers fans from all points on the spectrum.

And after all that, let me just say that I loved the game David Harrison played last night. He needs more minutes.

It's not so much the complaining about JO's staredown and false bravado, but saying that we can't win a championship because of it. Sorry but that's silly to me.

You see the world through your cynical eyes
You're a troubled young man I can tell
You've got it all in the palm of your hand
But your hand's wet with sweat
And your head needs a rest
And you're fooling yourself if you don't believe it
Why must you be such an angry young man
When your future looks quite bright to me
And how can there be such a sinister plan
That could hide such a lamb
    Such a caring young man
And you're fooling yourself if you don't believe it
You're killing yourself if you don't believe it
Get up, get back on your feet
You're the one they can't beat and you know it
Come on let's see what you've got
Just take your best shot and don't blow it.

Mad? Heck no. But you (and Sassan, for that matter) must be pretty angry at Reg with all those "negative" remarks he made last night about his old team. I mean, how dare he pick Detroit to win the East.

No I wasnt, Reggie was doing his job and its up to this team to prove him wrong. But did you see this game tonight?I'm sure you did you can tell that Reg still loves these guys and that he is a Pacers homer. Reggie wants us to win.

Wow, I was going to make a thread about JO and him being clutch, but Ill leave this thread alone.

Maybe one day well be able to have a conversation without someone being called a "hater" or a "old man" because we dont all share the same POV.

Great game Jermaine, I was really cised when he hit those last free throws. JO played like a monster, I just hope he can keep this up for 80 more games, plus the playoffs
Maybe one doy well be able to have a conversation after a Pacers win about how the Pacers played good instead of where the head band was positioned on Jamaal Tinsleys head.

Was that a cheap shot at me?

Cause if it was, at least spell the words right to make a cohesive sentence.

As for the first part, go back and read my previous post, if your comprehension allows you to do so.....I actually complimented JO.
    Maybe next time.

I'll post here since it's all going here.

IMO you three guys just need to be a little more considerate of each other. I know Harm and VA probably feel Jerm is causing most the ruckus but you're all being awfully snide.

Whoa. That was a trip. I was in the main forum when I got up from my computer a few minutes ago, came back and refreshed my browser and wound up here in the shout box. It's as if Hicks put me in the Star Trek Transporter.
