Default Jeff Foster #5 on cnnsi.com's Underrated stars list

Don't know if it has been posted or not. Here is the link.

    Here is his abstract.

On a team with hothead Ron Artest, scorer Stephen Jackson and all-everything Jermaine O'Neal, itís no wonder Foster fails to get the hype he deserves. Sure, his numbers are nothing to get excited about (7 points, 9 rebounds per game), but Foster is a rock-solid center, playing tough interior defense and hitting the boards with little fanfare.

FEISTY! You gotta love this guy with all of his hustle plays. Saving the ball from going out of bounds, pass to Jax from behind the ark, Jax hits the 3. He's a great guy.

Definately. I'm glad that somebody realized this. Guys like Jeff Foster get lost behind the flash and fame of more recognized playeers.
Life without water is tough, life without air is hard, life with one leg only is wobbly, Life without Reggie Miller, is impossible.

Veteran Austin Croshere, the longest-tenured Pacers player on the roster, has proven reliable when called upon, invariably ready to step in regardless of the circumstance.

Feisty is great, but is best suuited to be a back-up C. Like the Detroit series last year, when he can get in there a rough up the other team's backups, he can completely change a game.

I hope David wins that starter spot, a Harrison/Foster combo at C would be joy to watch.

I think the Feisty-Hulk combo is great to watch too...start either depending on matchups or something

Exactly, I think naming one of them starter would be a mistake. Play them according to matchups. Like tonight....play both lol. Cause most likely whoever starts will get in foul trouble.

I can't believe Al Harrington is rated first on this list.

    Reading this thread..
He might be number 2 on the Pacers most *over-rated* player list...

Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

I guess I still don't see the fascination with Foster at *starting* center. His skillset is most suited for 6th man 'energy guy' off the bench making a few hustle plays before the other team tries to exploit him.

    If I ran the team:

    Starters:
    Tinsley
    Jackson
    Artest
    O'Neal
    Harrison

    Sarunas
Jones (May be AJ if Fred doesn't do better)
    Granger
    Croshere
    Foster

    That is a solid-as-hell bench.

I like Jeff. He might be ideally a bench player but that is true for all the other big men who aren't JO on our team as well. It was a pretty good list. Although I was dismayed to see Gooden as #3.

By the way could they have found a worse picture of Al?
"They could turn out to be only innocent mathematicians, I suppose," muttered Woevre's section officer, de Decker.

"'Only.'" Woevre was amused. "Someday you'll explain to me how that's possible. Seeing that, on the face of it, all mathematics leads, doesn't it, sooner or later, to some kind of human suffering."

While in Indiana, Harrington and fellow preps-to-pros product Jonathan Bender often struggled to see playing time, but now the 6-9 forward is a leader for a young Hawks team.
Struggled to see playing time? Don't these journalists do their damn homework?

"Pined to see a starting role..." would've been more accurate.
