Definitely. All games against Detroit, Miami, and San Antonio are going to be observed closely.

Yeah, Miami, Detroit, and Cleveland in my opinion.

However thats the thing about the NBA, in comparison to the NFL. There really aren't a whole lot of must win games during the regular season.

Tonights game....Get that 1st victory and set a tempo.
You know how hippos are made out to be sweet and silly, like big cows, but are actually extremely dangerous and can kill you with stunning brutality? The Pacers are the NBA's hippos....Matt Moore CBS Sports....

Exaclty , it does no good to get up and beat the Detroit's. Miami's and SA's then lose to the Bobcats and Hawks. each game counts the same.

So the trite expression the next game is always the most important., I know I went with the boring answer....but consistency carries over...

Agreed. And its an 82 game season....who the heck knows. All we really know is that every game is important. The only games that may end up not being important is if we have clinched home court with 4 games left. Then the last 4 wont be important....in any other case, they are all important

Every game counts the same during the regular season.. If we're fighting for first in the Central or the East or homecourt or whatever the situation may be later on, the games will become more meaningful as the season goes along, but right now each game is just as important as any of the others, starting tonight.

I hate it when that happens! As of now I also agree that tonights game can set the tempo we should be able to get quite a few long win streaks though. Another big game is definetly Feb 4th vs pisstons.
