Default DirecTV question, League pass vs Fox sports net

Ok, here is what i am wondering.

if instead of getting league pass i got the "fox sports net" package, i think that means i get all the FSN channels, from all regions in the US...

If i did that, would i in essence be getting basically the same thing minus NBA tv?

since i would be able to tune into the indiana FSN feed which NBA LP "feeds" to its subscribers... I would get mostly the same thing... and pacer games which were not carried by the indiana affiliated FSN, I could just try to tune into the opposing teams FSN affiliate and catch it there...

does that make any sense? and would it work? (cuz it would save over 100 bucks!)

    thanks guys!!

FSN is blacked-out during NBA/NHL games.

EDIT - I should clarify to say that FSN is blacked-out for all out-of-market games.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

I have a DISH and I can watch FSNMW games. I've also watched a few games on FSN New England. The only channels that are blocked out for me is NBALP (didn't order it) and DISH SPORTS channels.

I have a dish with FSN and the NBA games are blacked out except PACERS.

Not all the games are blacked out but you can not count on it.

It depends on where you live but most stations will be blacked out. I live in South Bend and I'm out of the blackout range for 3 of the Sports Channel stations (Midwest, Detroit, and Chicago). I get the League Pass, but sometimes you can pull in multiple stations without worrying about blackouts.

Do we get League Pass for free for the first week again like last year? Anyone know...I hope so. I am ordering it soon, but not until saturday or sunday.

They said they're having the first week free. It would be nice if they accidentally forget to switch it back to subscription.
