Default The Official JJ Watch Thread...

Being a fan of JJ, I will naturally be following his progress throughout the season. Occasionally I'll post some stats here.

    Preseason so far:
    ---------
    MPG: 32
    FG%: .448
    FGM-A: 47-105
    3P%: .419
    3PM-A: 26-62
    PPG: 16.6

In his first 8 games with Phx, he's scored 18,19,18,14,15,10,18,21.

James Jones = will be very good soon.

I'm really bummed that he's gone, but the logic makes total sense. It was also very fair to JJ to let him move along.

I'd still rather have traded Freddy and kept JJ...
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

I'm with you anthem... JJ would have been able to play 2 guard without much adjustment.

It makes monetary sense, too. They make the same amount this year, but JJ's locked up and Fred's due for an extension.

I think Reg spent a lot of time teaching JJ. Moves, techniques and all. It seemed Reg was really enthusiastic to see how JJ would turn out. As far as Fred goes - man I really had hoped he'd be something. I am not completely writing him off, but he's not been 1/2 what I had expected. Better than Kareem Rush though...

I noticed JJ has been picked up on alot of Fantasy teams. PHX offense built for JJs game. Numbers will be inflated. I expect 16 a game until Stoudamire returns 12 after that.

At last night's game I thought that Reg had done a good job of teaching Stephen. At one point his line on the scoreboard was 14-0-0-0.........

JJs gonna be the *****. I felt sick when we let him go.

His offensive game comes naturally, if he can develope a defensive game he's gonna be a monster. Scotty Pippen style

Update. JJ scores clutch 3 pointer in closing minutes to seal the game vs. Lakers. He scored 17 points.

JJ, when given the chance - is clutch. He's also starting to get noticed by the announcers.
