Yes, thank you, even though I suspect this was all a vain attempt to increase your post count.

JB was getting rest for his sore knee and they said he had a sore knee. Why cant Ron have a sore foot?
I guess it's because when I read that I think two things:

    1) Aside from his fingers getting messed up by after the all-star break, when is Ron ever hurt?

    2) Before he's had "migraines" and the like, and they turned out to be behavioral issues.

I would agree with you but this is just the preseason. I'm not worried.

I don't listen to Mark and Slick much. Does Slick tend to embellish these things, because the way he's talking about him, it'd sound like we have future all-star waiting in the wings...

I agree with Indygeezer on this. Slick is a homer and wants the Pacers to win as much as anyone does, but he doesn't usually shower players with praise.

The thing about Granger is the more you see the more you like. he doesn't blow you away the first minute you see him. So if some of you are expecting to see Michael Jordan, you might be dissappointed

His feet haven't taken the pounding of an NBA game for a while, so I can imagine they could get sore while he's re-adjusting.

Not to mention that he's carrying more weight, which probably doesn't help the feet, either.......

I don't think any of us are expecting Danny to be another MJ UB, but the fact that he's defensively solid, and not only scores but gets boards (a lot of them in fact!), steals, blocks, and seems to have a high basketball IQ makes him a very solid player. I definately think he's going to be All-Star calliber, and I think if he gets a chance to start then it will be sooner rather than later.

So when do you reckon the boxscores get posted if the game is played somewhere different? Should I just hit the hay and check the newspaper in the morning, or do you think some web site will have it soon? Anyone remember this about last year's Muncie game? I know this is asking a lot.

That is a good point. 99.9% of the people who post in this forum are very knowledgable diehard Pacers fans, so they will appreciate Granger. But if you are a very casual fan, Granger is not going to blow you away. He is not flashy, he doesn't draw attention to himself. if you want substance over style you'll love Granger. But if you want style you might not understand what all the hubbub is about

So hope for Tim Duncan, and not MJ, then?

I have started to really look forward to who Danny is going to be compared to next. I'm not being completely sarcastic either.
"They could turn out to be only innocent mathematicians, I suppose," muttered Woevre's section officer, de Decker.

"'Only.'" Woevre was amused. "Someday you'll explain to me how that's possible. Seeing that, on the face of it, all mathematics leads, doesn't it, sooner or later, to some kind of human suffering."

    Post Game Recap from NBA.com

    http://www.nba.com/games/20051020/INDMIN/recap.html

    • INDIANA 93, MINNESOTA 76

BILLINGS, Montana (Ticker) -- Jermaine O'Neal quickly made up for lost time.

O'Neal scored 16 points and added five rebounds in his preseason debut as the Indiana Pacers recorded a 93-76 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

One of the league's most talented big men, O'Neal missed the Pacers' first four games of the exhibition season with a bruised right thigh. But the 27-year-old All-Star returned in impressive fashion Thursday, pouring in 12 points in the first half as Indiana held a 47-45 lead.

Austin Croshere added 13 points and first-round pick Danny Granger chipped in 11 and 11 rebounds for the Pacers, who have won four of their five preseason games.

Michael Olowokandi paced Minnesota with 18 points but scored just two after intermission. Superstar forward Kevin Garnett added 11 points and five rebounds for the Timberwolves, who were outscored, 26-15, in the fourth quarter.

Your horse is dead, get off it already...
