    Default training camp roster set

beg pardon if this has been posted already, but it seems like most people missed it (or didn't care enough to post it)

anyway, indystar had a short blurb about the training camp roster:

    Camp roster set

Barring a trade before Tuesday, the Pacers will go into training camp with 18 players.

Desmond Farmer, who was in training camp last season, Samaki Walker, Damone Brown and Jimmy "Snap" Hunter join the 14 Pacers with guaranteed contracts in training camp. Teams can keep up to 15 players on their rosters.
no surprises, and i think samaki walker is still the best bet to make the team. big man depth is always useful. on the other hand, snap hunter has been getting a lot of press lately. it probably won't matter much either way (hopefully)

I sure wish Holcomb was back. I'd much rather have him than any of these guys.

Yeah nobody jumps out at me , but then again they are just vying for the 15th spot perhaps. Depending on the shape that Samaki is in maybe he edge out Snap? due to need..

I want a big man... but if Samaki is as good as it gets, then I want Snap.

If Holcomb had been on the roster, we would have won that 6-man game against Orlando, to say the least.

Yip. But we chose to go with the 7' player who might in a few years be able to play instead of the 6'8" player who was ready to help right there & then.

I have no idea why Holcomb has not caught on with somebody but I suspect it's his size. He's only 6'8" with a slight frame & plays the pf. spot.

Too bad to because the guy has skill.

Yeah, for those that say Granger can't play PF, remember that Holcomb was the same size.

I'm surprised Mo didn't get an invite. Or did he get one from somebody else?
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

Holcomb was on the Wizards' summer league team this year. I couldn't find their training camp roster though, so I dunno if he's still with em.

I figure he's got a good thing going in Europe.
