Say it aint so Jared.
Say it aint so Jared.
I have seen him at Pacer games taking pictures with fans. How would you like those pictures now?
Don't think he's been charged with anything, but Subway has terminated their relationship with him. Understandable.
If all he did wrong was hire a dirtbag, then I would say that's by far the best case scenario for him right now. Federal agents usually don't go around raiding the homes of well-known people at 6:30 in the morning just because they made a bad hiring decision.
The admitted pederast is locked up right now. I just want it to be simply an asset seizure for evidence. Nobody gives a damn about the Subway guy, I don't care about Jared, I just really, really, REALLY don't want this to be some sort of Sandusky Second Mile stuff.
I didn't know Frank Vogel had a brother...
So just speculating, but I doubt they find any sort of evidence on his computers that would tie him to whatever the other guy did. This might be a another issue that might have came up in interviews with the guy in jail. Could be a tax issue, or using money that he shouldn't have been using.
If it was in relation to the crimes of the other guy, then wouldn't you as Jared have already erased all your hard drives once that guy was arrested?
Who knows though, nowadays you can be arrested and convicted of aiding terrorists because you erased your browser history and cleared the cookies....
You can't get champagne from a garden hose.
The guy was filming kids in his house (the foundation head). Jared was funding the foundation. He knew or at least turned a blind eye to it, there's no way he didn't. They didn't raid his house for funsies. They clearly asked Jared for something and he said no.
They raided Chris Andersen's house and he didn't do anything wrong. Well not this at least. He's done plenty of other **** wrong.
"I had to take her down like Chris Brown."
Best to just wait and see what they find. In such a situation I would think it would be standard procedure to investigate everyone in the organization. When doing so there is bound to be some asset seizure.
As far as erasing your hard drive. That would do little to erase the evidence. Data does not actually get erased when you delete something from your hard drive. Instead, it is only the reference to that memory location that gets erased. As long as that memory location has not been overwritten by new data that data is still there, and can be recovered. The only way to guarantee that data is lost forever is to run a program that rewrites the whole drive with nonsense data. (reformatting isn't good enough) Considering most people do not know this, it is highly likely if there was ever evidence linking him to it in any way, they will be able to find it.
Knowing his father, and the kind of man he is, I find it hard to believe he would raise a son to be a pedophile, but you never know.
While I thought it was possible the first guy was trying to cut a deal and sent them Jared's way, or used some company computers or something that could've led to Jared being wrongfully implicated (or maybe he sent porn to Jarret that was close enough to the line that the authorities got suspicious of Jared) versus him "just having" to be guilty.... But I never thought about whether the media maybe has this wrong and maybe the foundation didn't look squeaky clean as authorities sniffed out the porn and maybe found some financial improprieties in the foundation's records.
This is all why this type of media coverage sucks because they could've just reported the police raid and left it at that. And then reported more when more was actually known. Instead they make some assumptions and go digging, repeating, and hammering things creating a perception of guilt that will be hard to shake regardless of the outcome of the investigation. Especially when they start pointing towards a sex crime. So I hope their sources are solid in the first place and they haven't mistaken the purpose of the raid, let alone the fruitfulness of if. And I hope the Feds had real leads and didn't jump the gun themselves.
The accusation will linger long past the resolution of the case... either way it goes...
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.
"A player who makes a team great is more valuable than a great player. Losing yourself in the group, for the good of the group, that’s teamwork."
IF Jared is innocent in this, then I hope he takes the media to task for their speculation. Just stick to the damn "who, what, when, where, and why".

"And David put his hand in the bag and took out a stone and slung it. And it struck the Philistine on the head and he fell to the ground. Amen. "

Supposedly a woman coming out now that heard inappropriate remarks from Jared concerning children and wore a wire to get taped comments from him. This was up to ten years ago I think. Have they been watching him all this time?
EDIT: I think more likely she only recently went to Police after Fogel's associate got arrested. She has known Jared for 10 years, but I think it was after the associate's arrest that she actually wore the wire. Wonder if what they captured on tape ever makes it to the public?

that's a thing?Authorities also told FOX59 an electronics-sniffing dog assisted in the search at Fogle’s home
This article goes into more detail (that you may or may not want to know).
If all he did was have sex with a 16 year old he'll not get any punishment. I'm not saying that's not a terrible thing for a man his age to do, but it's not against the law in Indiana, 16 is the age of consent. I don't think he'll be charged with solicitation, probably be to hard to prove.
It's hard to believe they've had this big of an investigation if that's all there is. It's not good, but it's still a long way from child molestation or pornography. If there's more it'll come out eventually.
