Default Basketball card and sports memoribilia collectors

I know alot of people that are into sports also enjoy collecting memoribilia. Personally, I collect basketball cards, old and new. I thought it would be a good idea for those of us who have basketball cards (or anyone with the hobby of collecting sports mem.) to have our own thread. This thread's soul perpose is for us to talk about our collections and maybe if anyone wishes to sell something or buy something they could request an item and see if anyone else on hear has it. Have fun.

Today I went to a sports shop that I like to go to called J. D.'s Cards. It is in Richmond Indiana. I got four packs of Press Pass basketball cards and in one of those packs I got a Danny Granger game-used jersey card. The cards is number 183/250. I was pretty happy. I also got a Stephen Graham auto.

Mark Jackson auto and Finals jersey..
I've been trying to get some more of the Finals jersey cards, but I don't want to pay the price they've been going for right now. I think I traded for both of those cards.

I used Geocities, a free web site maker. I usually make sites with HTML, as that is more fun for me, but I decided to use an easy program like Geocities, as I have to edit the site a lot. You could also try using Freewebs. For my photo albums, I use Angelfire.

I buy cards on Ebay, to me that is the cheapest place to get them. I sold my whole collection last year although, I kept a few of my favorites. I got a REALLY good price so it wasn't as painful as I thought. I just started putting together a book of one of nothing but rookies, vintage dodgers, one of pacers rare, and of course the reggie album . If you have any favorite sellers let me know, I like the dealers with low shipping... ellsworthcards is one of my favorite dealers he has awesome deals and low low shipping

That is more of a blog than an actual website, so posting pictures there will probably be the same as posting them here. Find somewhere to host them (PhotoBucket or ImageShack), and then post the url (and if they use BBCode or HTML, you can create a code that allows the picture to show up).

Thanks for all the help Deadshot but I think I am done trying to work on that website. I thought it would be fun but it seems like it would be to much work. My hats off to all who run Pacers Digest or anyone with a website for that matter.

Well, I figure out how to get my cards on a website. If you would like to see a few of my cards go to www.angelfire.com/extreme5/sports247/Basketballcards . I haven't put all the cards I plan on posting because I am still waiting on three Jermaine jersey cards I bought off of Ebay (plus I got really tired of getting all my cards out and scanning them).

A link to my photoalbum of my cards is on the main page. Only the Jermaine O'Neal and Reggie cards are up there.

I never realized that you were Zagrid. I knew I sent you an invitation for the site once, but I never knew you were coming here. Nice collection!

(Zagrid and I have traded online before)

Nice Dr. J rookie! I didn't see that the first time. I've been wanting one for awhile now, but it's too expensive for me. I do have a vintage collection, but I don't have hardly any of it scanned right now.

Cool. I got the Dr. J rookie for Christmas a couple years ago.

ON vacation in Wisconsin a couple of weeks ago, I got a few gems at this gas station. There was like a whole flea market in this place and I got alot of good cards like Derrick Mckey,3 Karl Malones, 3 Chuck Person's,2 Pat Ewings,2 Admirals (Robinson),Steve Kerr, Mark Jackson,Sam Mitchell,Sam Bowie,Moses Malone, A couple Byron Scott's,John Stockton,Robert Horry rookie, and my prize '89 prime condition with sleeve Rik Smits rookie card.
Life without water is tough, life without air is hard, life with one leg only is wobbly, Life without Reggie Miller, is impossible.

Veteran Austin Croshere, the longest-tenured Pacers player on the roster, has proven reliable when called upon, invariably ready to step in regardless of the circumstance.
