Default Question- Sports Center had tape of the Cavs/Pacers game

If they filmed it (whomever did) why wasnt it at least shown on league pass? I mean if there were no TV cameras I could see but clearly there were.

Where were the replays "shot" from - it could have just been one of the local news shows recording it for the purpose of highlights.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

Good point. Most looked like they were from the sideline that I saw.

I was just thinking maybe there is a tape out there at some TV station.

The highlights I saw on pacers.com appeared to be from the arena's camera, similar to how Conseco Fieldhouse has its own in-house cameras setup that display the game on the center scoreboard the whole time, and provide replays.

I believe every game is taped for scouting purposes. I think the teams share "clean" tapes of every game with the other teams - those scouts don't want to listen to announcers babble when they're breaking down the tape.

For that matter, every high school game is taped, too.

They did tape it. I just called the Gund Arena Video services deptartment. Unfortunalty no one was in. The guy in PR said he thought it might be possible to get a copy of the tape.

I will let you know what I find out. I left him my number I just hope he returns my call.

Now that's hardcore, but why oh why would you want a game tape of the Pacers losing?

According to Mark & Slick, this was the most entertaining game they've seen all year.

For me, I'd like to see what really happened in the fourth quarter - the worry-wart in me wants to know what went wrong down the stretch of that game so I can stress over playing the Cavs in the playoffs, since they're apparenlty much more clutch that we are , and I'd like to see the foul calls against Ron in the first half.

Well it would be interesting to see why they lost. Plus even though we did lose it sound like it was a good game. And also I hate it when I cant watch a game.

It does not matter anyway they would not sell me the tape. The guy called and said yeah we have it what do you want it for, and I said because I missed the game due to it not being on TV. He said well its over and you know the score right, and I said yes but what it your point?

He then went on to tell me that they are not allowed to sell them to individuals by the NBA. He told me that if I got permision from the NBA that he could sell it to me.

Trying to get that from the NBA as an individual would be too time consuming in the time I have available today. If I have time tomorrow I might try just for sh*ts and giggles.
