Mike James is not a backup in this league when you have Tracy McGrady doing the scoring/distributing.

ummmm....seems houston disagrees with u.....since he wasnt their starter last year and theyre desperately trying to acquire a point guard this offseason...

As important as passing is, when Mike James is better at every other possible facet of the game, that more than cancels out that edge.
if mike james cant start for jeff van gundy, he wont start for anybody...

Uh, did you see his stats in Milwaukee? I'd say it turned out pretty damn good.

Considering they never were any good his personal stats don't really matter to me. Terry Porter did get canned from Milwaukee also...

that had nothing to do with James. He was the glue on that team, until they traded him.

Had TJ Ford been healthy, James wouldn't have seen much of the floor. That being said, James was solid for the Bucks.

Al Harrington for J Will? If Jerry West pulls that off that would add to a great summer.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

No, they chose to tank their season, which is why they dumped both James and KVH for peanuts.

You could argue that they traded James for being too successful at his job. They were in rebuilding mode, and wanted a high pick.

Can't blame them for dumping KVH, his contract is phat. I guess Detroit fans stick up for their former players, even when they are up against it in a discussion.

First of all, if they thought Mo Williams was better, he'd have STARTED over James when they were both there.

or once again, the more likely scenario....given the fact williams hadnt played much his rookie year they didnt deem him ready to start at the beginning of his sophomore season....

but halfway into that season, it seems he progressed enuff to change their minds...

Maurice sure was sitting on the bench a lot....

80 games and 80 starts surely proves James was better.

Well here's Mike James' stats as well.

He had no starts in the 47 games in Milwaukee.

Thats crazy, glad you posted that..

I think I need to stick to watching the 2005 US Open of Competitive Eating so I don't have to think so much.

I thought I had read something the other day that the Celtics were interested in Jason Williams. Probably to start over Marcus Banks.

Seems logical to me, he would be a good fit in Boston.
