    Default Some serious denial here

Cav fans just can't seem to swallow the fact Sarunas signed with us:

One guy there says the breakdown is:

    $3,700,000
    $3,996,000
    $4,292,000

Guess that leaves us $1.3M on our MLE, and our $1.6 LLE.

If we re-sign Dale with the LLE, is there anyone out there we'd want to get with the remainder of our MLE?

yeah, that one sure did read well to me also. Just hilarious. The prospect of going exclusively with Snow next year seems appalling to them, as well it should.

    James Jones aside ...

If Freddie Jones were to get moved, a couple of names ...

Dice Roll - DaJuan Wagner, Kedrick Brown
Defense - Greg Buckner, Adrian Griffin
Shooter - Jon Barry, Kareem Rush

Maybe a veteran like Steve Smith. Which is an idea I might like more than most ideas.

Actually, some of these guys could've already signed somewhere, but I'm being completely lazy right now.

    Hmm..

We win also we have a better supporting cast Snow, Gooden, Sasha, AV, Marshall, Luke. So indiana has Tinsley, Jasikevicius, Bender and a couple more bums. So why did SARAS choose to go for a ring in a pacer uniform I do not know because in Indiana he won't start, he will get less money, and they are going to loose to Cavs. So Sarunas you suck, and go cavs

When I say still, I mean they assumed they were getting over us with Sarunas, but some are still rationalizing that they feel they can still be better even without him. Not my rationalization, theirs.

Yeah, I mean for a team that hasn't made the playoffs in 8 or so years. They sure are better than us.

They just have that playoff experience the Pacers lack......

To be fair, many are saying that the Pacers are indeed a bigger contender than Cleveland at this point and a number of those have even tabbed the Pacers the favorite to win it all. Here are some quotes from that thread. It's great to hear this stuff coming from opposing fans. I just hope we come close to being this good. I still think losing Reggie will hurt more than most anticipate both off the court and in the clutch. If Saras provides anything, I hope it is being able to provide in the clutch.

"you forgot jeff foster. monster rebounder. the guy comes off the bench and grabs 9 or 10 rebounds a night. personally, i believe the pacers have the most depth in the NBA. and of course we're outcoached, but we can hope that brown will be close to carlisle."

"And nobody's mentioned who Indiana drafted this year....DANNY GRANGER. Arguably the best college senior last year. He's ready to play everyday and will do great coming off the bench for them. Indiana looks really good."

"Unfortuneatly before any sarunas issues i thought Indy was going to get past both detroit and miami next year because they have size a post up game outside shooters defense, and their bench is probably the best in the league WITHOUT sarunas or granger,...I love the Cavs too but Indy is probably the best team in the east top to bottom,...with all their starters...."

"It appears that the Parcers are the team to beat in the east this year. They have the coach, the player and a winning attitude."

"This is a joke of a topic. Pacers are the leading contenders in my mind. With Artest back, they have EVERYTHING. You realize that they have 18 players who are all GREAT and they only have 15 roster spots? They have MAD depth. Their salary situation is pretty darn well too. They have the top coach in the east and they have dominant players. They are easily better than the CAVS. Don't compare the big 3 and say your better and then say that we have a better supporting cast. WE DONT. They have everything on their team. Shooting, scoring, slashing, defense, agressiveness, athletiscism, young players, nice veterans, playoff experience, finals experience, legendary experience (Larry Bird as GM), coaching experience, drama experience, and intangibles. They own the CAVS as of now."

"Indiana has enough quality people to field TWO STARTING units in the NBA i think that is the point he was trying to make."

"The Pacers without Sarunas were my pick to make it out of the East. They are just stacked, the brawl actually helped them in regards to their bench gaining experience. They are very well coached, play tough defense, have experience and depth at almost every position. What more could you ask for? They are the Spurs of the East."

Oh I love the guy who says the Cavs are better than the Pacers.

His theory is our big three is not as good as their big thre.

Ron, J.O and Jax v. Z, Hughes and Lebron.

he says J.O. might have the edge on Z. That is laughable

"Well it's time to dry our eyes and suck it up."

Sometimes a good cry makes one feel better. Don't fight the feeling

"We don't need him anyways...Cavalier pride"

And he didn't need you. Playing Pippen v2.0 to Jordan Redux wasn't all that appealling.

"We are still deadly even with Snow"

I won't make any silly comments about the brown or red colored snow that certain areas in the rust belt have been known to get being deadly or anything. I won't, I promise.

I feel for them because getting your hopes up about something like this (or about Ron being reinstated - though I never had my hopes up about that others did) only to be let down is tough. On the bright side, they still have that guy named LeBron and some other nice pieces so they should not be heading off to Secaucus each Spring as long as they keep those things. Anyway, it could be worse; they could be Hawks fans.

JO is superior to to Z........But Hughes and Lebron are easily greater than Artest and Jackson.

Lebron James is a top 3 player in the NBA that is only going to get better and better. Hughes is a better player than Jackson.

I would trade JO, Artest, and Jackson for Z, Lebron, and Hughes...because Lebron James is spectacular.

Yikes no way I do that trade. Hughes lead the league in steals but is hardly a lockdown defender. JO/Ron/Jax combined are so far ahead of Z/LBJ/Hughes on the defensive end its not funny.

I guess you just don't understand how great Lebron James is going to be.

This guy is having early seasons that resemble Jordan's. When he matures a little, and gets some solid players around him, he's going to blow the league away.

Just like Grant Hill, Len Bias and Penny Hardaway.

It's silly to compare Leb Bias to Lebron James, considering he DIED before ever playing. Lebron James has become a top 5 player in just his second season.

Lebron has greatness written all over him. So just because Hill, Bias, and Penny didn't live up to their potential doesnt mean that Lebron won't.

His stats are unbelivable for a second year 20 year old player.
