    ---------------Original post------------------------------
I'm going to be in Indy this week to see family, and would love a chance to meet up with a few of my PD buddies if I can. I've already been talking to Jose about it via PM, seeing as how he's PD's "unofficial gathering coordinator".

My plans are still not 100% nailed down, so I'm probably going to continue to coordinate any mini get-togethers via PMs with Jose, though he's already told me that he himself may not be able to get together this week. I'll try and give a firm date and time as soon as I'm able to once I get to Indy. I'm hoping to be able to be able to meet up sometime later in the week if possible.

I'll probably check in one more time before hitting the road...

I could possibly make an improve get-together if it's Tuesday, Wed night, Sunday, or Monday.

Well, finally was able to get back on-line. It's going to be difficult to schedule something that would work for multiple people on such short notice, but Thursday or Friday would probably work best for me. Wednesday might work too, but not as well. I'll check back in later today and see if anything works out for anyone else (I'm sending out some PMs too)

It's looking more and more like Thursday night at 7 pm (probably Pizza King) will be the most likely day and time to do this. Sorry about that Hicks, I wanted to be able to pick a day that you'd be available too.

I'll post the final plans by Wednesday evening.

I would like to come, depending on which day you choose, but I was disappointed that I wasn't able to make the last one, so if a few of you get together at the Pizza King, I would cruise down there for a few hours.

Just keep us posted on what days would work for you.

You know, I'm beginning to think that vacations centered around visiting family are almost more trouble than they're worth. I just found out early this morning that my brother-in-law is flying in this evening instead of this weekend as originally planned, and the in-laws would like to do a get-together with him and his family THIS evening.

Mrs. BC is not as sympathetic to my argument that "I've seen your brother's family lots of times - how often do I get to meet with my Pacers forum buddies"

I guess what I'm trying to say is - would it be at all possible to switch the mini get-together from tonight (Thursday) at 7 pm to around noon on Sunday?

I could do that. I'm not due into work until 4-5.

Guys, thanks for the replies. This may work out better all around if more people can make Sunday anyway.

    Edit:
Ok, it looks like enough people have replied back that we can go ahead and make it official. We'll meet on Sunday at noon, location TBD (will update)!

Just to make this a challenge, Pizza King is not open for lunch on Sunday.

Hicks, would you mind blowing up the other thread about this?

Question Re: OT: Gonna be in Indy this week (week of 7/25)

Jose, just saw your PM about this a second ago. Does Perkins work, or is that too formal a place? Buffalo Wild Wings in Castleton (formerly BW3's) could work too.

Perkins, and Hooters are about the best places in the area, other than Pizza King, to accomodate decent sized groups of more than 4-5.

With Hooters, just the atomsphere, and type of other patrons that will be in there, might be more suitable, or accepting of being around a group of people talking sports the whole time.

Perkins is ok too, but on Sunday at noon, you're gonna have the Sunday crowd in there, mostly seniors just getting out of church, and we might be a little more out of place.

Just an idea, both places are in the same vicinity as Pizza King, but with Hooters, they're already set up to handle larger than 4 sized groups, and wouldn't require notification in advance like a regular restaurant would, i.e., pushing tables together, or something.

But, there are also some other pizza places in Castleton that would work as well.

Hmm, hadn't thought about the Sunday crowd aspect of Perkins, that's certainly a consideration.

How close is Buffalo Wild Wings to those other locations? I'm fine with meeting at Hooters, though not everyone may feel so comfortable being there. Any thoughts?

BWW is basically behind the Castleton mall, in that little strip of other businesses, I forgot about that place, that is also a good idea, they are set up to handle larger groups as well.

It's only about 2-3 city blocks away from Pizza King.

They open at 11am on Sunday, and the kitchen is open then.

Just found a web site for them, looks like that one opens at 11 am on Sundays. Burnzone, is the one you're thinking of located at "8440 Castleton Corner Dr." ?

Yes, I just called them, the one at 8440 Castleton Corner Cr., is the same one, and they do open at 11.

If you go down 82nd, just like you're going to Pizza King, or the Castleton Mall, and take a right at that stop light right before Olive Garden, basically the first light past where you pull into the Pizza King, and Hooters lot, then curve on around the back side of the mall, and Past Dicks Sporting Goods, then keep going around towards 86th, it's in that little strip of businesses back there.

There's a Friday's at Keystone that's not bad - right at Noon you would probably beat the post-Church crowd. Trying to remember what's in Clearwater Crossing.

BWW sounds good, I think that place won't have any of the Sunday crowd, they have long tables, and are already set up for groups, and not require any notification in advance, they have pretty good food on the menu, and regular soft drinks, and it's not too far from the original location of Pizza King.

And also, if anyone married would be worried about feeling bad checking out the Hooters waitresses all afternoon, you won't have that problem at BWW.
