Orlando steals Dooling from Miami for $10 million - Page 2
Orlando is paper thin at the guard position anyway, especially when they might lose Doug Christy.
ok, my head hurts.
1. Orlando has Turkoglu, stevenson and Christie at the 2, and Francis and Nelson at the PG spot. Depth isn't a huge problem. Dooling gives them a heck of a backup at SG, though.
This is a horrible signing for the Magic! Dooling is one of the 20 worst players in the NBA IMO.
I think pretty much everyone here can agree that Dooling is NOT one of the 20 worst players in the NBA.
IWhat is KStat talking about? Does he even know? His great play in the ECF? The same ECF where he averaged:
6.4 ppg, 1.9 apg, 1.1 rpg, 1.3 t/opg, 0.4 spg, shot 37.3%, and 12.5% from downtown?
.....and that 6.4 was better than anyone else off Miami's bench.
Dooling was the only reserve on Miami who could create his own shot. Without him, their bench loses a lot of bite, at least against Detroit. This is of course pending any further signings they might make.
Dooling impressed the hell out of me in the ECF with his ability to get into the lane and create his own offense. They might find a better outside shooter, but they are NOT going to find anybody that can slash like he could.
It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.
