Default How many FUTURE 1st round picks would you trade for LeBron?

If LeBron isn't going to resign in Cleveland, the Cavs would be smart to try and trade him. But I think they should trade for picks way into the future, beyond when Lebron retires. Is there a rule that a team can't trade X years into the future?

Assuming there isn't, and you were the GM of both A) The Pacers, and then B) a team that was a LeBron away from contending, how many first round picks in 2022 and beyond would you fork over for The King's rights?

For what he's got left at a 'prime' level ??

    I'd go 2. MAYBE 3. But I'd need to know what commitment I'm getting from him. 1 year ?? 2 ?? 4 ??

OP qualifier is that the team's "a LeBron away from contending" (which isn't every team?). so one year works. they can have all the picks for a Pacers mercenary championship.

is kind of an interesting question I guess. would you trade one Pacers championship for the Pacers being, at best, mediocre for the rest of your life? I would.
