    Default NBA League Pass/Insight.

Does anyone know if Insight will be offering NBA League Pass for the 2005-2006 season?

Everytime I see a thread with the words "League Pass" and "Insight" I get excited.

It didn't change this time. I thought you had good news, that you were going to say that they were going to provide it.

Well, to answer your question, I very seriously doubt they will provide it. They seem to think their customers have what they want. They **** me off. I like their internet service, but, that's it.

There is no reason to why they can't get it. They offer the ESPN College basketball full-court pass, thing. Why can't they offer League Pass? Have you called them recently about it, I havn't.

Almost all other digital cable companies provide League Pass, with NBA TV. But, not good 'ol Insight.

A lot of people here just got fed up with waiting for them to get it. Hicks, for instance, last year he got Direct TV, I think it was. Because he was sick and tired of putting up with Insight's dumb ****. People on here would call Insight and ask about League Pass and the people answering would not even have a clue what they were talking about.

I tried to switch to Dish Network in November 2003, soley for NBA League Pass.

And guess what happened? When they ran the meter to see if they could get the signals, they couldn't because of the trees.

Unless a Direct TV dish points in a different direction, I cannot get that either.

Lord Helmet, I call Insight once a year to ask, and they give me the same old crap every year.

If I do, the price of our broadband goes to $50.

And, I don't want DSL, I play online games for X-box and I need all the bandwidth I can get.....

My DSL is 3.0Mbps, and is 25 bucks per month. I play MMORPGs, as well as FPS on my PC, my need for bandwidth is just as great as yours. What I'm telling you is that DSL is fine for online gaming. Now, if your concern were uploading/downloading movies or porn.....

Umm, playing online games does not really take all that much bandwidth, Latency is what mattters. Must games use only a small fraction of your total bandwidth, Downloading large files needs mega bandwidth. COnsider the fact that pretty much any online game will run of a server on a t-1 line 1.5 mbps symetrical. Must games use less than 64 kbps of you bandwidth. As to Latency it really depends on your ISP. I have had 3 cable ISP's and 1 dsl, the dsl line had the least bandwidth, but I had a very stable low latency connection and it was the best by far. This does not mean DSL is better than cable for gaming since that is a very small sample set. To note originally my dsl connection was 768/128, certainly I could not host games with that upload, but most dsl providers offer a package that has atleast 384 up, which is what most basic packages from cable offer.
