Should be interesting, not the ideal PF to play by Yao IMO, but pretty good.

Yao doesn't have to worry about Swift posterizing him anymore.

i think he's a good fit there in houston.....they needed an athletic/defensive PF badly. swift is still a little raw offensively but he doesn't really need to score, yao can take care of that. he needs to play solid D and i think JVG will maximize his high potential and turn him into a solid player.

I agree here. Swift seems to be better fit on a run and gun team ala New Jersey. I think the ideal PF to play alongside Yao is Kurt Thomas but I can't bash this move a whole lot, Swift gives them some shot blocking and defense.

That's a real interesting move. I look forward to seeing that lineup.

with stoudemire, duncan, and nowitski on their main competitors....the rockets need a great defensive power forward....offense isnt quite as big a deal on that team....swift seems to make a lot of sense.....they should be quite a force to be reckoned with....

Since when is Swift this great defensive player? I know he can block shots, but, yeah....
