i don't know about losing a pt guard. I thought they see him more as a combo guard. Foretaz was talking about playing mel and sarunas at the same time, and I think this is what management will do primarily off the bench. Even conrad talked about him as a sg. this makes more sense to me as we have poor 3pt shooting at all positions, and sarunas could fill reggie's sharp shooting role. only when tins goes down, do they look to move him to pg. larry loves tins, i just don't see him dumping him. at a post season conference, he said he was most impressed with foster and tins this season.

If he is a sg then he plays behind sjax which doesn't make a whole lot of
sense. Of course our team is so interchangeable its not funny. I mean
AJ could play sg, fred J could play pg and sg, sjax can play sf and sg.
It really boils down to pick your poison. I think sarunas could be a sg but
he is defiantly worth the min level. ITs very possible that they don't
plan on have gill around anymore and with Tinsley getting hurt all the time
and AJ's age whats so bad with having one more pg. This move could
get us pass the nasty end of the reg season where everyone is wearing
    thin.

I'm really curious as to what the hold-up is here. The Cavs have already re-signed Ilgauskas, and if this offer is on the table, what is Saras waiting for? Have the Cavs made an official offer to him yet? If not, why?

And what is the word on Jay Williams' progress?

i think it was mentioned earlier, but i agree with the more time that goes by and cleveland does not announce a sarunas signing, the greater are chances to sign saras become....

and i really think that we probably have a deal in place with him already as geezer alluded to....the only question is does he join his friend in cleveland or not...

if he doesnt join cleveland, then i think there is no hurry to announce his signing with us....it gives bird and donnie more of an opportunity to do something with aj that might be more worthwhile than if we already have sarunas signed publicly....

as far as jay williams goes, id be curious to....he would still be my top choice for our 3rd pg....

i dont know if hes on a summer league roster or not...i havent seen anything to that effect....however given his situation, an invite to training camp might be more realistic....and probably more in line with a reasonable time frame for his recovery....

I read in one of the Chicago papers that William's won't play summer league. He could, but he wants to be ready for camp this fall. Chicago I believe has first dibs on him.

The word is that he isn't coming to indy bc our logo doesn't have
his colors in it. He feels desperately the need to hook up with shade but
he doesn't know how to ask and if...... he did ask what would be the answer..
.... and if it was yes.. why would they hold back anything.
SO let me ask..... i mean... let Jay ask.

IF you have to say a guy is your choice for a 3rd string pg, than he isn't
    worth it.

Considering Gill was getting PT in the playoffs due to Tinsley's injury, I'd say it's somewhat important who our 3rd string PG is. Besides, he's VERY capable of supplanting AJ as Tinsley's back-up.

And I would never hook up with a Dookie.
