I wouldn't have given up that much for Kyrie myself but I'm curious how a Hayward/Irving tandem would work.

I wish it was on a team I actually liked. I hate the Celtics.

Cleveland wins with the Brooklyn pick if the Nets suck this year as expected. Kyrie is a better player than IT slightly now but will continue to be better for longer once IT breaks down.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

Honestly this makes me think LeBrat will go to the Lakers and then the Lakers/Celtics rivalry is renewed.

I know the contract situations were different but it sucks how much the Cavs got for their wantaway star compared to the Pacers.

Change is neither good or bad, it simply is.

That Nets pick won't be as good as everyone thinks. I think ainge has finally figured that out. Nets will battle for a playoff spot. Still 10-15th pick is a good pick. Great deal by Cleveland. Also, watch NBA rig that pick so Cavs win lottery.

Well one team has LeBron running things and the other?

    *crickets*

That being said LeBrat will probably bolt after next season and they can reburn those jerseys of his.

My guess is the Celtics know LeBron is leaving the East and outside of him who stands in their way?

The Pacers didn't want to help another conference foe so they traded him out of it.

I personally am fine with how that turned out.

Cavs just got so much better this year and picked up a likely top 5 pick.

Kyrie's contract is longer than this season so it made a huge impact on the trade offers...if the Pacers had dealt George at the trade deadline or earlier they would've gotten a good ransom from the Celtics or others better than what they got.

I'd be pissed the **** off if I was a Celtics fan. There's no way Kyrie is worth that much.

Not sure if this is a condemnation of how bad the East is or a complement to Nets for improving their roster. Either way I like it!!

They didn't get "so much better" this year at all. But that is pretty ridiculous they got the Nets 1st out of this. Almost seems like the league planned this out for when LBJ bolts again. Ha.

One said he wants out PERIOD ( Kyrie ), while the other said that he will gladly be a Pacer for another season, won't re-sign with the Pacers when he becomes a UFA and will decide from there what he wants to do but wink wink I like purple and gold uniforms ( PG13 ). In the end, both had hurt their trade value for their respective teams.

The only difference I can see is that Kyrie was locked into a 2 year guaranteed deal and had a trade kicker ( or waiver? )...while PG13 could bolt after this year ( but told every Team that he won't re-sign with them PERIOD ).

Kyrie and IT are very similar players, just one is 28.5 years old and the other is 25.5 years old and Kyrie is 6'2 and Isaiah is 5'9. IT is going to have a really good short run in the league but his height will trap him down eventually. Nate Robinson went from a solid rotation player to out of the league in a very short time. Once those guys lose their first step they're done.

Crowder was only going to get in the way of Brown and Tatum, the Nets pick is what makes this an interesting deal and a possible win either way depending on how that goes.

While that's true I think people seem to overlook the possibility that the Pacers may not have wanted to help a conference foe.

They rather trade him out of the conference instead rather than help create another super team.

It's an arm's race at this point as the top Tier Elite Teams:

    Rockets / Warriors / Celtics / Cavs

Everyone else is a full tier below those Teams....with Pacers being another lottery / barely Playoff Bubble Team.

I fully expect the Raptors and OKC to make some Hail Mary trades to shore up their teams to try to compete. They are "ALL IN" at this point....and have no choice but to make trades to improve their Team as much as they can.

So this Zizic guy, is he any good? That Nets pick will likely be a very late lottery pick. No top 5 pick for sure. I doubt the Cavs will pay Thomas that huge money next Summer. Crowder will want out once Lebron leaves because that team is going to stink for awhile. Overall, Boston got better but actually, this current team isn't that scary. Hayward is good but not unstoppable like Paul is at times. Irving will have more focus on him defensively without Lebron luring defenders away.

IT and Crowder makes the Cavs better than Kyrie by himself. Crowder is going to be so good next to Lebron.

Regardless if I'm a Boston fan this is really underwhelming after all their Anthony Davis hopes and things like that.

I'll be interested in watching the dynamic between Brad, Kyrie and Hayward in Boston.

Pacers weren't going to give the NBA what they wanted. I respect that. I don't think Cleveland won so much here. Thomas will be gone by next Summer. Crowder will most likely be traded again next Summer, and that Brooklyn pick again....... won't even be top 8 next Summer. Zizic is a question mark.

What is this. I don't understand. Why give up the pick. Surprising the two top East teams trading their best players. Can't believe IT isn't a Celtic. This is all nuts.
