I think the Heat will be the test dummy in this particular experiment if it goes well and no issues it will be only a matter of time.
Same here. In a couple years, this may be the way to enter the arena for all teams.

And I won't be surprised if the NFL becomes this way also.

I too also use a flip phone. I still have a landline too.

I only have a cell phone so I can be reached in case of emergencies and outside of any calls I make outside my home I rarely use it.

Its prepaid too so I save so much money with this.

I still have 2 prepaid flip phones and 2 land lines. I also am still on dial up!!( Been thinking real hard lately about going to go to high speed or whatever you call it, but then I've been saying that for 10 years.) I finally got and am trying to navigate a 21st century phone, but at times I'm ready to throw it on the floor and stomp on it. Still carry a flip so when I can't get the the d*** Samsung to work I'll still have a phone I can use if necessary. I don't know how to text, use face book, twitter, or you tube either. Have no idea what an ipod or ipad is as well. Was given a 10" tablet as a present 2 years ago that is still in the box. AND I still navigate thru life just fine!! My feeling is those whose lives rely heavily on having phones constantly in their hands is like a baby having to have a pacifier in it's mouth or holding on to it's blanket for security. Take one's phone away from them is like a drug user without drugs having withdrawal pains. I have a real problem with people coming to visit and end up constantly talking on their phone...especially younger relatives. If you come to visit then visit. It's real simple, if you can't refrain from talking on your phone while visiting, then just don't come. Believe me my feeling won't be hurt in the least! If you visit and expect me to give you my undivided attention, then I expect the same. It's only politeness, or is politeness a thing of the past with no place for it in today's society?

I had a smart phone, it died on me so I elected to go back to a flip phone.

When I made the remark to the salesman that I was probably the first flip phone he had sold in a while, he said I wasn't. He said a lot of people are tired of looking at their phones all of the time. More people are going back to flip phones.

lol.. I believe the Samsung Rugby is still being made. Popular with construction workers and emergency service type folks. You could punt that thing in a football game, have it stepped on, and it still would work.

I'm totally comfortable using mobile tickets and other such things - but it's not my preference. I don't want to be standing in line, trying to get a good connection and not get my ticket to load. I order tickets online, generally download the mobile ticket, have it loaded as soon as I can, but print the paper ticket and use it. Just much simpler to me, and I like having both in case I leave the paper ticket in the car or my phone won't load the mobile ticket.

Plus, as the article said, paper tickets are often souvenirs for people. Not everyone goes to 30+ games a year, so having that physical copy to hang onto from the time you saw Kobe's last game, or Reggie jumping in circles at the other end, it's way nicer than the supposed convenience of mobile tickets.
It's a new day for Pacers Basketball.

I've been printing out etickets onto paper and using those specifically because I work as an IT specialist. All it will take is one network to have an outage for all hell to break loose.

Well then, you keep your toy and I'll keep mine. What works for one person may not be what another person likes. I've had two smartphones and hated them both. Just don't try to tell me what I should or should not like.
It's not a toy anymore; it's a tool. One that is more and more necessary to everyday life. Some people can get away with not having one, and if you can, bully for you. But I imagine they are alienating very few NBA fans regularly attending NBA games in Miami with this rule.

Yes have a Samsung myself. I usually write down important things in a notebook/planner than typing it into my phone. Technology can malfunction at any time.
