    Default Dilemma, Joe's Dilemma

What should one do when placed in the following situation..

Pacer fan Joe, loves the Pacers and supported them for many years, now Pacer Joe also loves 80's basketball, he Loves the Simons, he Loves Walsh and Bird, he's also got a nickname by some of his friends who call him Larry after well Larry Bird..

Now Joe Loves the Pacers and wears Pacer gear as much as he can...

The Local Sports Shop has some Classic NBA Retro Jerseys in stock, like Dr J, Nique and Larry

Dilemma is this.... Can Joe wear a Larry Replica down the street with out selling out his Pacer Loyalty, Can Joe walk with his head up high because of what Larry B is doing NOW with the franchise compared to what he was doing ten years ago when he was kicking the Pacers *** every game..

I think Joe can because Larry has been a Pacer for well 6-7 years now and looks set to be staying here for a while which makes it a-ok

What does every one else think about what Joe Should do...

NOTE, Names have been changed to protect the innocent and if any connection is made it is done purely by chance.

I think he cannot because Larry himself would not wear that old Celtic jersey today.

No Kidding, you reckon Larry won't wear that Jersey again, like ever again... they must have had a bad divorce...

Fair enough Fella's I'll pass the word on to Joe, he'll be dissapointed I imagine but'll understand that he has to be loyal to the team and the green guys are our enemy and there for he should buy a new Granger Jumper Instead..

Tell Joe to grow up and to go buy it. It is afterall honoring Larry Bird's legacy and he is a Pacer and has been one for a while now.

Thats a Valid Point for buying a Bird Jersey, I mean his Legacy should be as important as current rivalry we have now..

Larry stills remains to be Larry and if we hated the green men so much maybe we should oust him from the Front Office...

Plus he's a Indiana Native If i'm correct, one of the best if not the best player Indiana has ever produced

I will say that in my years attending games when Larry was here in either job, hardly a game went by that I didn't see at least one green 33 jersey.

That said, they're all commie *******s, and I hope they burn in hell for all eternity. Especially those who wore them when we played Boston.

Here's a compromise: tell Joe to go find an old Larry Bird Indiana State University jersey. Then he can celebrate Larry's legacy as a player in INDIANA...

I was going to say it would be O.K. to wear a Larry Celtic jersey until rapid brought up the ISU jersey. Although it takes a manly man to feel comfortable wearing powder blue.

Just wear the Larry Legend jersey. It honors his legacy as an NBA Player and shows respect to him. Why are so many of you against it? So what if it is a Celtics jersey, he is a Pacer now and it is representing him.

Thats a Great Solution, I'll pass that on to Joe, I reckon Joe is tough enough to be able to handle wearing a Powder Blue Indiana State Jersey..

It'' cost a little more but it'd be worth it and I reckon Joe will just have to save up a little more

Joe will be real greatful when i tell him what you all advised him to do and it's a bummer he doesen't have the internet or he could thank you all himself..

maybe the pacers should think about doing a jersey with birds name on it....and the numbers 00 or something....not sure how it would go over with the players, having more people buy a jersey that doesnt actually exist...but hey, from a marketing standpoint, it would be a pretty good idea...

and when they finally win the title, that year should be his number...ie...06 when we win this year

Thats a intresting call Tazz Man, very intresting, can you Buy Boomer Replica's because if you can there shoulden't be any player only drama..

Thats a Good and very intersting call that could have the front office thinking I mean why not make some connection even if it's just a Polo that says Bird on it..

I suppose if i was keen i could buy a swingman and stick 33 on it ( sorry JJ ) and Bird on the back, wonder if they'd process that for me...

That's what I was gonna say. Put Bird's number (33?) and name on a Pacers jersey.

I think Peck's head might explode over that. JJ probably wouldn't appreciate it much, either.

No, I think Peck's head would only explode if you wore a Dale Davis Blazer jersey.

    No way!

If they're determined to do something they could sell a sport coat and t-shirt right next to a leisure suit back from Slick's coaching days.

What are the chances that the Pacers may honor LB by hoisting a jersey with only his name, and no number, a few years down the road? Didn't they retire a jersey with Slick's name on it?

Slick has been the heart and soul of the franchise since its second season.

If Bird's still associated with the Pacers in twenty, heck even ten years, if the Pacers have won a few championships, then we can think about it.
