But hey, they even think that Reggie is an ugly ******* who can only shoot 3PT shots and nothing else.. so they cant be right!

Oh crap, it's Manu Ginobili! Err ...
I would say 1,2, & 5 apply, but not the rest. Manu keeps his free lancing in the offense as much as possible. There is a reason they want the ball in his hands with the clock running down and not Parkers. He is a better passer.

    1. You like to go 1 on 1 pretty much.. (totally tinsley)
    2. You like to make fancy moves on the bigger players.. (latest example, playoffs on Ben wallace)
    3. You like to humiliate your opponents.. (and1 motha f*****)
    4. You look to score first, pass second.. (totally tinsley)
    5. You like to make Fancy moves on just everything you do.. (notice the leg-kick & rest of the unnecessary fancy dribbles which turns out to be turnovers instead)
    6. You like to hold the ball pretty much..

    etc etc
    hmmm....
    1. If anybody does too much 1 on 1 it's JO, they feed him the ball and the entire offense stops, well especially in the playoffs
    2. His crossover is sick. He can do it to guards for sure and get in the lane, but I agree about bigger guys, he can still do it, but needs to dump the ball off in the lane, as he'll get blocked and he doesnt have a reliable pull up jumper.
    3. He just plays with heart. Like any other man he doesn't want to get beat. Maybe this makes him play crazily at times, but other times he's just focused. I was watching one of the MIami heat games, he was torching them in clutch. Arguably may have been his best game. This is the game that went into overtime and reggie was deemed the hero after scoring 2 threepointers in ot, but jt had 30 pts in the game, 6 in the last 2.5 min of the 4th down the stretch including a pull up over wade with 1.3 sec left to tie. It looked like wade and tins were going back and forth, but thats just how jt plays.
    4. ever since iowa state, he has prided himself on pass first. He only had about 12ppg in college, so he's not as much of shoot first guy! He led the team with his penetration and dishing ability.
    5. Fancy or not, he has moves that work and moves that don't. He has the ball on a string sometimes, and it's unbelieveable how he can dribble, so that's just what you get by playing him, but i think we're definitely better off accepting a few turnovers and seeing all the postive that comes out. he was simply amazing before the injury this year.
    6. Not true, again out of all players that go 1 on 1, it's not usually him unless it's the high screen and roll, and he usually kicks it out to the wing or dumps it to a big guy. remember he is the pg, he's going to handle the ball

i know my name probably makes you think i'm a huge supprter and i am, but i've followed him since college, and he's definitely a winner. At iowa state, they never lost a home game in his two years, and they're winning pctg was above 80%. He was always turnover prone, but he has defintely worked on this since being at indiana.

[QUOTE=PacerNthaDesert]I've heard people cry about the fact he challenged Ben Wallace a few times in game 5 and big Ben blocked almost everytime but in my opinion, thats not street ball, its just not smart bball. I really believe the only problem with Tinsley is health. He has improved his offense, defense, and decision making a lot in the last 2 seasons.[/QUOTE

It WAS smart bball. The ONLY way to play shot blockers like Wallace is to go right at them. Make them make the play or foul. Frankly he was the only one with the *alls to challenge Ben. Unfortunately he had an injured foot and coming off not playing for 2 months, his judgement on what he COULD do were off a bit.
I'll give him kudo's for trying though.
Yes yes and yes on the rest. Street ball might have been a valid criticism when he was a rookie, but I dont' see much of it anymore. He's developing into one of the best in the league. His jumper is much improved and I NEVER thought he'd be the penetrator he's become.
I think the subtle 'we might do something' hints have more to do with motivating him than any idea of actually dumping him.
Was a year ago that Larry/Donnie? said he was likely the teams next all star!

If you're speaking of the first half of his rookie season, and all the games (that he played in) after 11/19 not including the playoffs, then you're correct. There's good reason for that though.

yeh, if all he saw were games after 11/19 I could see that opinion. But that was because we needed him to score. Badly. WHen we are intact he is the consumate distributor.

You must be talking about Stephan Tinsley or Jason Tinsley or Baron Tinsely or even Travis Tinsley. You sure as heck aren't talking about Jamaal Tinsley.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

I will never complain about that. Even with a hurting foot and out-of-whack sync, the man took it hard to the hole against the Pistons. I loved his heart, and about half the games it was actually effective.

I really admired him too. I didn't even expect him to play as much as early as he did, or at all for that matter. It takes heart and determination to do what he did, some 7'0 SF whould learn from that....Damn another Bash....sorry, but I can't help it.

I'm a JB bashing Monster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Stop me before I reach harsh criticism again!!!!!!! Save me!!!
Life without water is tough, life without air is hard, life with one leg only is wobbly, Life without Reggie Miller, is impossible.

Veteran Austin Croshere, the longest-tenured Pacers player on the roster, has proven reliable when called upon, invariably ready to step in regardless of the circumstance.
