    Default The Leftovers

Let's name some players who weren't drafted that could be solid additions to a roster.

I can think of a few:

Matt Walsh and Anthony Roberson - Florida
    Kennedy Winston - Alabama
    Randolph Morris - Kentucky
    Tiras Wade
    Alan Anderson - Michigan STate
    Aaron Miles - Kansas
    John Gilchrist - Maryland
    Jawad Williams - NC

Does anyone know if any of these kids can still go back to school? I'm not sure which players have signed with agents...

Well Jawad Williams is an SF and I don't think we will be looking for one of those. Anderson, Gilchrist, and Winston should all be invited to try out.

I am really suprised that the Timberwolves took Bracey Wright over some of these guys at number 47 but only because they already drafted Rashard McCants, Rashard and Bracey are kind of similar, both undersized shooting guards. Neither will play the point. Rashard is just more of a scorer and Bracey seems to shoot it better, I think.

I would have loved to take Bracey over the damn Euro. I was excited about the 2nd rounder until they said his name and then....wow

I really hope we will cut Gill and get Basden.

    Kelenna Azubuike- UK
    Sean Banks- Memphis
    Eddie Basden- Charlotte
    Taylor Coppenrath- Vermont
    Chuck Hayes- UK
    Keith Langford- KU
    John Lucas- OK St.

Read the thread about the 46th pick, the guy was voted most improved in 04-05 overseas. with some double double games near the end

    add to that list:

    Will Conroy
    Rawle Marshall
    Lucas Tischer
    Angelo Gigli
    Stefano Mancinelli
    Filiberto Rivera
    Dwayne Jones

    -----------------

I'd say Matt Walsh was the biggest snub. Some had him going as high as late first round!

I'm sure Walsh, Winston, Gilchrist, and Anderson will end up on someone's roster...

Will Bynum should be our 3rd PG. But John Lucas? Damn the guy is only 150 pounds, He would get abused in the NBA.

Luke Tischer (sp?) also never went. I don't know if he was supposed to, though.

Edit - Ah, I see Blanket beat me to this one.

Other then a SG position none of the leftovers should come to indy, for their benefit they should try at Charlotte,Atlanta and N.O.

Is there a way to get rid of Gill and get Basden?

Can we waive him or something?

I would live with Freddie playing 3rd string PG if it meant getting Basden. He's one of the better "no nonsense" 1-on-1 defender. He would be a perfect defending role-player.

If not him....get Gilchrist....he can't be any worse then Gill.

as long as we are discussing the backcourt, specifically the point....

    trade aj

    sign sarunas...

    release or trade gill....

sign jay williams....as the third pg...

that would be my wish list for the pg slot...

This would be too good to be true! But after what happened to us last night maybe the string of good luck will continue.

I knew he had no hope of all because he is really too small to play the PF, and too inexperienced to play the SF; but I kept praying for a miracle that someone would draft my man Roger Powell, Jr.

Veteran Austin Croshere, the longest-tenured Pacers player on the roster, has proven reliable when called upon, invariably ready to step in regardless of the circumstance.

    Kris Thomas.

Not saying that he'll make it anywhere, but two years ago he was slotted in the middle of the first round, now he's fallen off the face of the earth.
