JMO, but I'm thinking Shaq would get his head handed too him.
Wilt was skinny as ****. I think Shaq would have just muscled him around. Wilt vs Olajuwon--that would be a really fun one.

Dream would destroy him. I'm also really biased, I think Olajuwon is one of the 10 or so most skilled players ever on top of being a 7' freak of nature gazelle.

You must be thinking of a different Wilt. He came into the league at 280 and left it around 320.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

As far as unpopular opinions go...

Artis Gilmore was the most underrated center of his generation and Dave Cowens was the most overrated.

I could see that weight for Wilt. People need to google images of Wilt and then images of Shaq.

Wilt came in at 280 and left at 320 then Shaq came in at 320 and left at 380

From everything I've seen and read, Wilt was a crazy physical specimen during his lighter years but was actually able to impose his will a bit more scoring wise as he got bigger.

People also forget after Wilt retired from basketball, he became the world's best volleyball player.

The 7 foot 1 inch Chamberlain weighed 250 pounds as a rookie[1] before bulking up to 275 and eventually to over 300 pounds with the Lakers.
Nope, I'm thinking of the right guy. Shaq is still a good deal larger than him. Point stands.

That's not surprising to me at all. My hunch is many NBA players would be world class volleyball players if they were so inclined. That combination of height, length, and athleticism translates really well.

Speaking of which, here's what is probably an unpopular opinion: I'm ready for a new play-by-play guy on the Pacers broadcasts. Denari is fine, but I'm ready for something new.

And Oliver Miller was larger than Shaq. I guess Oliver Miller should be in this discussion, since weight=strength now?

Wilt was hilariously strong, and unlike Shaq he actually worked out and built his body over time.

    Madness.

Now if you said color commentator I'd light a torch and join you in singing hallelujah, but play by play? Denari is world class IMO.

God I'd kill to have Clark Kellogg back.

Denari's going to be here until Big Kinetico has had their fill and says the time has come. Everybody thinks Paul George wanted out, Big Kinetico wanted Paul George out.

I wouldnt mind a total change, but Denari has played himself into a lifetime role on Pacers broadcasts at this point.

Man i wish we'd Replace Quinn though. Greay guy, but I can't stand him on broadcasts.

Same goes for handball. It really isn't a surprise that basketball isn't that popular in countries where handball is really big like Scandinavia. Both sports draft from a similar talent pool and they basically steal athletes from each other. Huge countries like the USA and Russia can overcome that but smaller countries like Sweden or Norway cannot do that.

Yep, I don't think Denari is going to go anywhere, but I'd rather get rid of him than Quinn. He's very good, I'm just tired of him.
