    Myles+ Thad+ picks for Kyrie.

Pacers starting unit Kyrie (25), Dipo (25), Bog (28), Sabo (21) and Seraphin (27) OMG IF THIS HAPPENS
That team would barely be the eighth seed with the lack of defense

The fact that Kyrie thinks the Earth is flat is a deal breaker.

Irving would have been nice with Paul George and a prime Hibbert masking his terrible defense in the paint.

Probably would have made it to the finals with that core a few years back

If Bron had not come home, Rie would be a "good stats on a bad team" hall of famer.

Yes, a poor man's James Harden. Kyrie isn't leading any team to a title.
Lance is finally home. Whether he becomes our starting PG or he's 6th man, he's getting big minutes and he's here to stay. #llortontnia

Is this based on watching kyrie as a 20-22 year old?

Heck, Myles is already peaked and nearly washed up according to some and he's only 21+.

Irving is unquestionably better offensively. "Playoff" PG closes that gap, considerably. However, the other areas, defensively, rebounding, etc... I'm not sure Irving comes close. I feel like Paul can be an overall better impact on a game, whereas Irving's impact is almost purely offensively. There's some folks *cough* who only value that aspect.
There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.

Well these things are all taken into account when people are determining a players value. And most people take kyrie.

Disagree with last statement. It's clear from this thread that not only is that not true, but "most people" would say no, or at least sit on the fence. He has to be in the right situation (like, beside LeBron James) to succeed. And he comes with some side stuff that's just head-scratchers.

This board is biased, clearly. Like I said, google 'top 20 nba players' ...might find a couple people rating george higher, but not many.

Most of those top 20 lists are little kids who only value offense, lol...

Sure they are. I think people here overrate paul's D. He wasn't very good on that end last year. I know, i know, he "wasn't trying"

We all know he can go toe to toe with lebron. Which apparently is shooting 36% from the field and getting swept.

He's damn good when he is driven to be, he just wasn't driven anymore. I think we will see PG at the top of his game this year, minus game winning shots.
