Default Your favorite seafood restaurant in indianapolis is

    What do you think.

I'd like to go someplace reasonably priced. "Keystone Grill" and "Oceanaire" are a little more than I want to spend. But then I want a place a lot nicer than Joe's Crabshack or Red Lobster.

Anyone been to "Kona Jack's" or "Bonefish Grill" Or maybe you know of some others.

Oops, sorry wrong forum. Thanks Hicks

I don't like seafood myself but my Parents both love the Adams Mark hotel on Friday & Saturday nights for their seafood buffet.

Sorry I couldn't be more help on this.

Any good sushi joints in Indy? I'm always a little leery of eating sushi (or seafood, for that matter) in land-locked cities.

Ricks Boatyard is hard to beat on seafood. Also, Binkley's at the conrer of College and Kessler is good. Their chef used to be the head chef at Rick's Boatyard. They have more than just seafood at Binkley's, but the fish is outstanding.

I like Kona Jack's. I've eaten there many times. Good selection and always tasty.

I've been to Bonefish Grill once and it was good, also......

UB, if you're looking for good, but casual, seafood, I got one for ya: Seafood Shack. Horrible name, I know. I just went there tonight. It's in Broad Ripple, where Bazbeaux used to be. The head chef is the former head chef of Deeters. The have a deck out back that overlooks the canal and overy other Saturday nite they play Jazz on the deck.

Here's a slight review of the place.

    And here's their web page.

I don't know what side of town you're on and what's convenient, but I was suitibly impressed. Just to give you some background on my tastes, I vacation a couple of times a year and tend to factor part of my trips on if I can get fresh seafood. I've eaten seafood in Florida (Tampa), New England area, Cancun, Puerto Rico.....I am a seafood freak. I see ya went to Kona's, which I haven't been to yet. It's a shame, too. I went to high school with the owner.

Harmonica, I also love sushi. One fav place of mine is in Castleton. It's called Wasabi. Their site is here.

Try something called, Agadashi Tufo. (I don't know if I'm spelling it right.) It's basically a soup and that's all I'm going to say, cause if I described it, you'd go "Huh?" It's unusual and suprisingly good.

My brother swears by OceanWorld, 1200 W. 86th St.

I don't get too adventurous on landlocked sushi, either. I tried and liked Daruma. and Mikado. and Sakura. Wasabi on 82nd struck me as the best. That's just my opinion, for what it's worth. All the places struck me as pretty fresh. If I had to rank them, I'd go Wasabi-Daruma-Sakura-Mikado.

Also, they have a pretty good Dragon Roll. If you're ever in Vegas, try Little Buddha, in the Palms Hotel. They have a KILLER Dragon Roll.

Thanks Skaut. If you ever come to Los Angeles let me know and I'll recommend some great sushi places to you.

I've been to Kona Jack's several times when back in Indy and it's been a good experience each time. The small bar on the other side (Daddy Jack's?) is an alright place to stop in for a beer or something during an IU game as well. You'll actually be able to watch a game in peace there anyway.

Its worth the trip to Chicago to go to Catch 35. Its especially fun at lunchtime because its in the Leo Burnett building so if you listen closely you can usually get the scoop on the hottest Super Bowl ads or other juicy rumors.

Ive been to the Bonefish Grill several times, and thought it was pretty good. Someone asked about sushi earlier too, my brother in law is half Japanese and the last time he was in town we ate at Daruma's at 86th/Michigan, I don't personally care for sushi, but he said it was great! The food I got, Teriyaki chicken and Fried Tempura was excellent as well.

    Interesting.

We went to Oceanaire after the game Saturday.

My salmon was just a bit too rare.

It's located near Castleton, on 96th in a strip mall in front of the Menard's.

I don't often eat sushi, but it seemed resonably priced. We had quite a bit for just under $40. Something called Ban Ban, volcano rolls, california rolls, some tuna and snapper. Man, it was good........
