I don't like waiving him before Young but neither were ever going to be any good.

Sunk cost. The pick was wasted when we took him. He's way too slow to be an NBA player.

This is a good move. Now we should waive Joe Young.

It never seemed to me that he had any legit potential to contribute, even as a backup. Next we need to jettison Joe Young's weak azz.

Georges looks like a cool dude. I wish he finds a way to stick in the league

Not a shocker. Wish we could have seen him play in summer league. But no matter how well he had played he still would have been buried deep on the PF depth chart.

The roster is starting to balance out. Just need to go wing shopping. Or wait and see if any shine in the GLeague.

Good to see. Guys who aren't good don't need to be on the roster. It's a waste.

Our only decent 2nd rounders in the last 30 years are Lance, James Jones, and Antonio Davis. We might as well trade the picks every year.

probably not an NBA player, but no worse than J. Young. Really ****** luck with that injury in the opening minutes of SL.

Makes more sense when you realize Niang's contract would have been guaranteed tomorrow.

He should go to Europe he'll have a good long career. It's why you draft guys like Ike instead of guys who max ceiling is 'in the league. This always kinda seemed like a Bird move to me.

Should have traded him when his value was high.

He was the 50th pick. It's not like he was a first rounder, or even a high second rounder. The only two guys taken behind him I might have liked to take a shot on were Bentil and Khalil Felder.

This is why you use 2nd-rounders in Euro-stashs instead of American college players. Late 2nd round is a crap shoot which rarely nets result an actual player, but with Europeans you retain rights ad infinitum as long as you don't bring them over. Much more sensible time frame to see if they develop to something useful.

It's not a given that a stashed player will come over, though. That said, stashed players can always be used to work out a trade even if they never come over.

The Pacers have 14 players with contracts on the roster. The team, per source, plans to make another move relatively soon.

Hope that move includes either Young or Jefferson being expunged.

Good luck to George, he seemed to be a likable guy, but hope he catches on elsewhere

if not, he still made more in two years than a lot of us will make in half our working life

Niang will receive 100k so Pacers add about $1,275,000 back to caproom

And Juice, but its the second round you don't expect much. I'm betting it is not too much different from the majority of teams, and the ones who have a higher average probably have a much higher average drafting position.
