Wow, WHAT. A. GAME. Just a terrific game by both teams. They are truly even.

You can't get any closer than this, both teams are worthy of being champs.

I don't know about that. They just happened to play better this game, that is all

Nice win for the Spurs. The scary thing is, you know both of these teams will be back and just as good next season.

Yes, Ginobili and Duncan took over, like true leaders would! Hope to see our Duo there next year!

Huge props to Duncan for the last 18 minutes. Wasn't sure he had that in him this year.

Great series - Detroit put all the crap to rest about them being a weak champion last year and defense is still King in the NBA.

The homecourt was key tonight. Pistons lost this series in game #5.

The Spurs won tonight, so by obligation I have to say they are the best team in the world.

Maybe better by a few points, but that's really all you need.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

Detroit & their fans have no reason to hang their heads. They played like winners & I hope to God there is no Pacers fan who would try & cheapen that by rubbing this loss in their faces.

The Spurs just had a better night & this series could have gone either way.

Congrats. to the Spurs & their fans, as a Pacers fan I know I have no idea how this feels.

We have a lot of work ahead of us.

    Great job by both teams.

It was awesome to watch a series that was dominated by stars. No Shaq, no Kobe, no one of there stature from a marketing or media standpoint [Tim Duncan, defentily great but not a star who attracts attention off the court.] was in the series which is an awesome thing for basketball. The game has gotten so focused on being stars that this series was truly a reminder of how basketball is supposed to be. Two fundamentaly sound teams who play together.

Congrats to the Spurs, and congrats to the Pistons fans for a great season. I'd kill for the Pacers to win a title one year and lose game 7 in the finals the next.

Anyone on this board who dishes Detroit for this loss would gladly take the success they've had the past couple of seasons.

    Well, congrats to the Spurs!

Detroit played an amazing series. It's got to be tough to play all the way to the last quarter of the 7th game and lose just by a few points. Tough loss for Detroit.

Great win for SA! Duncan MVP! Hell Yes!

Congrats to the Spurs. I won't ever claim them to be "my team", but I'm glad that my fav Western Conference team won the O'Brien since we didn't get it.

Congrats to the Spurs. They weren't given the title, they took it. When the world called them "soft" they showed they were tough enough. You win the title in this fashion and you deserve the recognition of "best team in the league". Hopefully, the all finals in the future are this well contested.

Memo to Larry Bird: A bunch of "milk drinkers" just won thier second championship in three years. And those milk drinkers have a better 1-2 combination than yours.

    Get to work.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

Duncan a milk drinker? Doesn't he have a tattoo of 2-Pac or something? Ginobili a milk drinker? never seen ne one take punishment like that in the lane other than AI. You know Mohammad is not a milk drinker. Parker take to the whole with the big guys as much as the next guy, and Bowen is as dirty as defender as they get. They are no milk drinkers. Margarita maybe
