Default Wanna trade for Lorenzen Wright???

Eh... I like the guy's game but he wouldn't play here (or at least start). It could be a simple Pollard for Wright trade (2 ending contracts) just so the Grizz don't have a distraction.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

I guess with the new 125 percent rule the salaries could match.

Decent player, but not what we need.

I'd rather keep Pollard for no other reason than to guard shaq

I was about to reply about how I thought that this would be a good trade for us, but then your post started me to thinking.

Now I think I agree with you. Even though I do like Wright as a player.

    I like Wright.

I don't like Pollard all that much.

But I don't see where either of them would play much for us.

Maybe if DD gets big $$$ elsewhere, but he proved as his short season wore on that he really is just a limited-minutes guy at this stage of his career, so I'm no longer worried about somebody offering him the MLE or anything like that.

Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

Can you point me to some documentation of that? That's the first I've heard of new rules regarding trades.

Little note on Lo Wright . Years ago when both Lorenzen and Jermaine were free agents ,summer of 1999 Donnie Walsh brought both in ,his desire was to sign one of them.

Wright ended up doing a sign and trade with the Hawks as a free agent, JO resigned with the Blazers.

At the time Wright's upside looked better than JO's to many. In the time since JO has developed into a franchise player , while Wright has become a good workman like nba role player.

Lorenzen turns 30 in November ,has 1 yr at 7.7 mil left on his contract. He avg. 9.6 ppg and 7.7 rpg last season playing 29 minutes a night. Which is pretty much his career averages.

He's mobile and athletic . If Pacers play more uptempo he'd fit better than Pollard and is not as injury prone as Scot.

But overall whoever fills the role at center with the Pacers will be a committee thing. I'd prefer Lo Wright but Pollard or Wright would neither fit a big role here.

    I'd take Wright.

The guy can ocassionally put up 20/10..I picked him up as a 4th string PF/C on my fantasy team. He can also has a better mid range shot then Pollard.

Not like it matters anymore. The guy is afraid to score over 20 points and grab more then 8 boards nowadays. I remember a few regular season and playoff games where he had 9 points and 3 rebounds. That was pretty funny..Shaq is on the decline. Everyone is saying that hes passing more and opening up other players..He is but I still think he only has 2-3 all-star years left in him.

Lorenzen Wright guards Shaq better than Pollard, IMO. That's part of the reason why the Lakers would struggle against Memphis during their championships years with Shaq.

Larry is not coming back, he didn't have a meeting with Orlando for not reason, yeah he is coming back to the NBA but not to the Pacers, the notion that he is a taking a year off and then come back is absurd.
