Remember when we could have gotten 1-2 solid players and a possible Top 3 draft pick in the 2017 NBA Draft by trading away Paul George?

Does Sabonis at least project to be decent? Dipo sucks so there has to be some sort of silver lining.
Sabonis'll be useful eventually. but he'll Just Be A Guy.

Why would you want a pick swap with them? We'll be in the lottery, and they'll be in the bottom of the draft.

Hey, everyone likes to jerk off to something different.
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

I agree I think Leaf is our new SF
Why wouldn't Lance be our starting SF? That make more sense to me, especially if they sign a guy like Jrue Holliday or Rondo to run the point.

Not that I think they should do any of that, btw.

If we sign Rondo, we'll have the worst 3 point shooting backcourt in NBA history. Rondo, Lance, Oladipo, and Ellis. Doesn't get much worse.

I am just glad this is over guys and gals.
Agreed it was well past time to move on and Vic is solid. I dunno what Sabonis will be but if he can develop into a 13 and 6 guy I'm ok.

Obviously this all hinges on Myles Turner, but guess what? So did our plan to keep Paul George.

At least he's out of our conference

However this trade exemplifies why I get why PG 13 had no real faith in KP.

I don't understand what the rush was. Could we have not at least waited on a deal like this? Was it going anywhere? It's not like we saved cap to make a run in free agency or something. Should've at least let Hayward sign somewhere and see if other teams would get antsy like Boston.
Unless Pritchard was looking to sign a FA and wanted to get it done?

I think the Pacers doing nothing at the deadline killed us. We neither made a big move to keep Paul George nor dealt him, now we're stuck with a pretty damn lukewarm return if I've ever seen one.

I can't wait to see what small forward Danny Ainge is going to draft in the top 5 next year and then try to comp to some former Celtic great. Everyone is Paul Pierce if you believe!

Don't forget, posters here wanted the Pacers to roll out the brinks truck for DANNY GREEN. Oladipo is good. He isn't great, but he may yet improve and he definitely doesn't suck, contrary to what has been suggested. Sabonis's Pacers career will define this deal, though.

Because Lance is perfect in the 6th man role. He can play every wing position, he brings loads of energy, and can score in bunches. His helpfulness on the floor tends to diminish over time. I have little doubt that if we had kept him as the 6th man instead of making him a starter he would have won 6th man of the year award, and that team would have been loads more successful.

Wait, why wouldn't Hayward want to play next to PG? I mean, I know he's a selfish dick, but he's a really good selfish dick.

I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to play next to Paul George or any other star in today's game?
