Oladipo is gonna surprise a lot of people.
That would be a blessing. His %s and his contract concern me, though. But at least he should off something on both sides of the floor, he can run, he's very athletic, and he'll play with passion if he's anything like the kid I recall from IU.

"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

Ok, after my major freak out, I'm getting to realize that this is a good deal. Both contract are long term and both are going to give us solid play. Hopefully KP can make some solid moves to make this off season a good one.
Garbage players get 1st round picks, (WTF)! All of the NBA must hate the Pacers! LOL

I'm still on board the sign Hayward train.
I will be passed if KP at least doesn't make a call to Hayward to see if he wants to come to Indy with a MAX offer.

I don't care if laughs at KP, I want to at least try.

my buddy was a security guard at PT's, sounds like PG was essentially paying the rent of some of the workers.

I'm getting a ticket to the OKC game next season in hopes that PG breaks his leg at Bankers Life. It would be glorious.

This is way worse than what LA offered
Russell is way better than Oladipo, who isn't good.
Do we know that the Pacers were offered Russell?

    Kevin Pelton:

Because Oladipo actually makes more than George this season, Oklahoma City also cuts its payroll by about $4 million

If Lance will truly be running the point, a guy like Oladipo is the perfect complement capable of defending the opposing pg when he's actually focused on not playing passing lanes.

Doug is a restricted free agent. We can just slide him an offer sheet in free agency.

I hate this trade because I never watch any LA games, they start too late and the team sucks. I thought PG would get sent there and I could ignore him.

OKC on the other hand is one of my favorite teams to watch with Russ, my favorite non-Pacer. Crap.

I just got home from a date. This makes it clear that

1.) Paul George is going to LA next season and it's well known and the Pacers have zero leverage.

2.) Danny Ainge is a puss.

    3.) Oladipooooooooo

Unfortunately neither is a reliable outside shooter.

This does look suspiciously like a "Get a local guy to sell a few tickets while the team stinks for the immediate future" trade. We couldn't get any draft picks?

Perhaps not, the Pacers FO was in a terrible bargaining position, we all knew that.

I will say I've heard a few analysts say Oladipo's development and use while playing alongside Westbrook wasn't handled well by the OKC coaches, and could do a lot better out of that one man show environment.
