Hicks, you might as well face it - any time a new poster joins the topic's gonna show up.

The key would be for the veterans to not respond.

    I'll do my best.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

I think that the Ron threads pale in comparison to the overdone Brawl footage that is coming to a Pacer's game near you before every tip off next season.
Life without water is tough, life without air is hard, life with one leg only is wobbly, Life without Reggie Miller, is impossible.

Veteran Austin Croshere, the longest-tenured Pacers player on the roster, has proven reliable when called upon, invariably ready to step in regardless of the circumstance.

I called Reno to get the odds of that happening.

Surprise. Surprise. The odds were 100:1 against. But I want you to know that I have faith in you, Jay. I put down my $1 to cover the odds.

But the problem is, summers always involve talking about trades. And for better or worse, whenever trading Artest comes up, the brawl/his mental state/PR company/Allure CD/ etc., will come up along with it.

IOW, might as well learn to live with it.

What I'm REALLY sick of is all of these year-old threads that have suddenly been reincarnated. That's more a waste of my time than Ron Artest re-hashes.
you know....its this sort of thinking that this board is perceived by some as being very cliquish....

far be it for someone new to have anything worthy to bring to a conversation....let alone anything credible in your eyes....

i, for one, have enjoyed interacting with some on here....those of 'u' that are 'veterans' and are ignoring anyone that hasnt been here for a while.....well lets just say im not a huge fan of people that are so closeminded or insecure....

but then again....if im a knicks fan, i guess i wouldnt be too happy bout much of anything either....so u have my sympathy....and i understand the source of ur ultimate frustration....

Well, we could talk about when Al was traded. Or when Brad left for Sacramento.

I know. Let's contemplate what the chances are of Donnie talking Rik Smits out of retirement. Or maybe we could debate the merit of getting rid of Rick Carlisle and having Slick be the coach again.

And when things slow down and someone dares to bring up Ron for the 10 billionth time since Thanksgiving we can surf the net to find a way to bring Roger Brown back from the Great Beyond.

Sounds like a rip roaring fun summer to me.

or we could talk about peoples font of choice....

or if we had some more purported info....we could talk about that....

personally i lean towards the current members of the pacers....and if they tend to be controversial members then it would seem only natural that they be the focus of many discussions....

though the slick idea does intrique me a bit......

If I'm sick of the Artest talk on TWO boards, can I get another vote?

I find it interesting how threatened you are by a simple statement of fact that wasn't directed at you. Why is that? Are you so completely insecure? Paranoid?

    In any case, I'm sorry.

I'm sorry I made you cry and I'm sorry you don't have any original thoughts.

I'm also sorry that you think this is a chat room and are completely ignorant of etiquette for message boards.
