Default So, now that it's a 3-game series...

Almost everyone, yours truly included, believed the Spurs were going to win going away -- especially after Game 2. Has anyone switched their choice?

I still believe the Spurs will win in 6, but it's getting interesting now.

Spurs in 7. Home teams will win out.

I don't even remember what I said. Since I refuse to watch the series I can't give a very good educated guess.

Agreed. I have been amazed how quickly the pundits went into "panic" mode or simply jumped ship as soon as the Spurs lost a game. And now that they have won 2......mercy.

Well folks, the home team is winning big...and to be honest, I see it as the home team is getting home cooking from the refs. THings SA got away with in SA they are not now....things Detroit COULDN'T do in SA they are allowed to do now. Will it flip back when they head back to SA? Is it just because the more aggressive team gets the calls, and the home team is always more comfortable and therefore more aggressive? I dunno....but that is the way it appears to me. So that is my nickels worth.

I never picked this series and I'm not about to start now.

I'm curious to see whether the Pistons can win all 3 at home. Yes they have been playing great, but 3 in a row is pretty tough.
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

I'm too lazy to look....how often does a team win all three at home?

Pistons did last year - but it's very rare.

Not sure where to look for that, but it certainly hasn't happened often. None in my recent memory at least

I thought they finished in 5?

They did. They won Game 1 in LA, lost Game 2, then won all three in Detroit to win the series.

    Whoops I can't count....

So Detroit is fully capable of pulling off 3 in a row, though this isn't LA

No, but even I gotta admit...they are sure making the Spurs play like it, at least in Detroit.

Last year was the first time the home team ever won all three middle games.

The road team (the team with the better regular season record that year) has won it three times, '90 Pistons (in Portland), '91 Bulls (in L.A.), '01 Lakers (in Philly).

On that note, it's time to give the Pistons their due. They are a DAMN good team.

Also, it's time to give the East their due. The Pistons have faced their toughest challenges the last two seasons against the likes of Indy, Jersey, and Miami.
