He's unreliable. Always hurt or some other issue.

On the plus side, when he actually plays he is a really good reserve. I'm fine with him as a 3rd SF.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

If Melo goes to Houston that takes another All Star out west. East forwards are gonna be *** next year.
Carmelo isn't an all star anymore. He's still good but mostly just a one dimensional scorer that can't guard anyone now.

But Melo is literally an All Star, he's talking about the All Star game representation.

I doubt he would have made it this season anyway. He's not really the best forward on his own team anymore.

So we could have 50 million next summer, that right? Can we get anybody to bite? Yea probably not.

If ownership lets KP go after restricted free agents, I'd think hard about throwing a max at Jabari Parker and hope Milwaukee's too scared to match. Taking a risk on a dude with a couple blown ACL's is probably the only way to get a young potential All Star to come here through free agency. Granted he'd have to come back strong next year and be cleared by our medical staff.

2019 looks better, but I still doubt we can get anybody to come here.

I know history is not in my favor here, but if we see that Turner, Oladipo, and Sabonis/Leaf show real potential, and we go into the off-season with $50mil, I think we'll have as good a chance as anyone to sign a big free agent. I know, I know - Indiana isn't a destination, yada yada. But the last time we had the money and young potential, we did get David West. It's as much or more about those two things than it is the location, IMO. Pritch has us set up well to chase a big target, we just need the young guys to bring the energy, excitement, and promise. BIG IF, lots of unknowns, but I think it's well within our reach.
It's a new day for Pacers Basketball.

In all seriousness, what's Twolves cap situation if they try to retain all their guys?

Maybe a realistic scenario is in 2018 you have your young core you try and max Wiggins (RFA) and sign LMA (UFA).

With this team being less efficient in shooting and losing some of the team height, rebounding is going to decline even more. But with the poorer shooting, we need a huge improvement in the rebounding dept.

Any suggestions on obtaining a starting caliber big to replace Thad. If Turner wasn't so bad, then Thad would be fine. But they are horrible together. We don't need a scoring PF, just one that can rebound and defend.
Garbage players get 1st round picks, (WTF)! All of the NBA must hate the Pacers! LOL

I still think that we should go after Daymon Dedmon as our Rebounding Big. I think he can be had for a reasonable price.

Pretty sure that's Brandon Jennings' arm. Also pretty sure Brandon Jennings is the only guy in the NBA who can't guard him.

I don't really get this trade from the Pelicans POV, why would you want Jackson and that contract when you just signed Holiday to that big extension?
