Jerry buss never touched a basketball in his life before he bought the Lakers. Somehow it didn't matter.

A good CEO doesn't need to be a devotee of his company's product. He just has to understand how to run an effective business.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

I like what Morey is doing this summer. It would have been huge if they could have signed Iggy.

If they flip Anderson for Melo, then they'll be looking pretty good IMO.

Feel like this means they'd be willing to dump Ariza in a Carmelo trade.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

They should stay away from Melo.

its pointless but who cares? It doesn't effect anything. It isn't like he's taking up a roster spot.

LeBron frustrated with Cavs off season. But he said he was taking the summer off from GM'ing his team. What's up with that?

BTW, his legacy is taking a hit. If he cuts and runs when it starts getting tough...we know what means.

Lance is finally home. Whether he becomes our starting PG or he's 6th man, he's getting big minutes and he's here to stay. #llortontnia

Yes, because jumping ship to a better situation would be totally out of character for him....

If it works Grimp is the GM.

Boston stretched Demetrius Jackson over 7 years.

Creative use of the stretch provision by the Celtics on the contract of Demetrius Jackson. Boston exercised the 2019-20 non-guaranteed team option on Jackson one day prior to waiving the former second round pick. Exercising the option allowed Boston to stretch the contract over seven years and not five. The cap hit per year is $92,857 instead of $130,000.

I don't really think it's going to work, but I enjoy the spirit of the moves for sure.

In general, maybe. But, in his case, I think it is great! He was the face of that team for years.

You know how I knew how good he was? By how much I hated him when the Pacers played the Celtics. A level of hate reserved for the very best of opponents. In my mind, that was a compliment to him.

I can't believe I'm going to defend LeBrat because I can't stand his *** but his legacy is just fine. He's still going to end up at the very least a 3 time NBA champion and one of the best to ever play the game if not the best.

Right. He's always cheated other teams out of assets or quit on his team when the going got rough. He will never reach Jordan status. I think it's really official at this point.

It means nothing other than Cleveland couldn't build a Championship team around him.

Remember when we could have gotten 1-2 solid players and a possible Top 3 draft pick in the 2017 NBA Draft by trading away Paul George?

That seems like they're counting pennies for the sake of counting pennies.

Well, even Jordan has never faced a Superteam the likes of Golden State....
