Default The dumbing down of Reggie Miller

If Reggie spends any more time talking to Dan Patrick I'm afraid Reggie will become a certified moron.

Did anyone else hear today's Dan Patrick show? I turned the radio on about 1:30 and he was talking to Reggie. I was bummed I missed the beginning, but then the more I listened the less I wished I had heard any of it.

The only descent part of the interview was when Reggie asked whatever happened to Rob Dibble. Of course Dan didn't answer.

At the end of the interview Reggie said for them to call him any time and he'd be on the show. Normally, I'd think that was a good thing, but after hearing the last two times he was on I'd rather he stay on the beach in Malibu.

Then let Reggie and Keith Oberman have their own show.

I wonder how much Dan will actually let Keith talk when he's on for an hour every Friday.

The Dan Patrick Show is on ESPN radio.

Rob Dibble works for FOX now. He's on Best Damn and I think he also does some baseball games on the radio.

Tony now has a radio show on XM I think. I really miss Tony. I cannot stand that Cowheard jerk.

Dan's show hasn't been good since Sean Salsibury left. It was passable when Dibbs was still on, but since Dan would never let him talk Rob left when FOX made him an offer.

He believes he's God's gift to us all. It just amazes me that he can tell someone their wrong with their opinion.

It's an AM station. I'm in Muncie, so I don't know what it is in Indy.

If you're really desperate I think you can listen to the show online through ESPN's website. I wouldn't bother.

As for that prick Cowheard one time when I didn't turn the show off quick enough I heard him say, "What is the perception and what is the reality?" I said, "The perception is your voice is annoying. The reality is you're very annoying." Actually I probably called him something a lot worse than that, but there are children lurking so I won't say it here.

I just noticed this - is this really true about Dibs? Did he really leave b/c Dan wouldn't let him talk enough? I thought Dibs was a good addition, but he certainly didn't need to be adding more of his thoughts.

As far as Cowherd, I don't really mind him. I think a lot of the irritating stuff is just for ratings. I like how he brings up topics outside of sports. He reminds me of some guys you would know in the college dorm who was really interesting, but hard to be friends with.

That's what made Kornheiser so special. He didn't need to take the shortcut of "being controversial" to make his show really compelling. I listen to ESPN radio if its on now, but I made time to listen to Kornheiser.

I think Kegboy heard somewhere that ESPN decided Dan was better hosting on his own. Translation: they decided to cut the budget. If Dan is so much better on their own why the hell is Keith Oberman coming back?

Rob Dibble was fired and then got the gig at Fox. He didn't leave on his own. I've always thought he sounded like a guy who was trying to bluff his way through an oral exam.

Also, in Muncie you can hear ESPN Radio on AM 1340.

Would you leave a gig where you sat around and did next to nothing and got paid for it?

The end of August Keith is going to be on Dan's radio shows Fridays. I thought I heard it was only for the last hour, but I might have just made that part up.
