Introducing your Indiana Cyclones Summer league team. LOL. My current employer well represented this year
If Ike played they'd have 3 members of this years UCLA team too.

More than anything it's the Mad Ants. Loyd, Leslie and McKinney-Jones were core members of the Mad Ants. And Niang, Christmas and Young have all played with them in Fort Wayne.

I'm guessing the Pacers/Mad Ants have given up on Ben Bentil. And I wonder where Julyan Stone is. The Mad Ants were at their best when he was playing point guard. Maybe he's still playing in Europe.

With all the young new guys we are full of big guys, Bentil is not needed. Potyress is the guy I want back. Stone would be great as a fill in 3rd pg.

You know what I think would be really awesome and a feel-good story to do just for the hell of it?
Let's give Calvin Roberts a Summer League invite..

Who is Calvin Roberts you ask?

Make SURE you watch the video on page in link below...

I am being totally serious.... I think it would be cool to give him a chance to live his dream in his new found fountain of youth and play with our young guys, maybe teach them a thing or 2 in the summer league.... Would definitely give us some good publicity for the gesture...
I mean he DID play vs Magic Johnson's Michigan State , and blocked his shot lol.... (subliminal Magic ribbing/potshot lol) , and was drafted by the Spurs in 1980 lol
Heck, he looks to be in better shape then Dwight Howard and can definitely shoot better...

When do the "Myles Turner won't go to Summer League - we need to get rid of a player with that bad of an attitude" posts start?
Sounds like Popeye thinks Myles has a great attitude. Pretty much the opposite of what you posted.

It's never too late to get in shape. It is, however, too late to play against 20 year olds in the best league on the planet.

Because what I posted was taunting those who pretty much every year get down on the guy in his 3rd or 4th year who has things to improve on not wanting to go to Summer League.

Pacers.com article about the health of the 2 second round picks. Nothing new really. Ike expects to be ready by training camp. Sumner sometime later.

Also some post practice interview videos with:

    Sumner
    Ike
Leaf (some practice video in this one. Leaf is lankier than I realized. He's very long)
    Popeye
    Niang
    Buckets
    Xmas

Is anyone else super jealous of Sacramento's young talent? They literally had the perfect draft that I wanted, and a number of other young players. Definitely going to be following this young core, and am excited for their summer league.

    De'Aaron Fox
    Buddy Hield
    Justin Jackson
    Harry Giles
    Skal Labissiere
    Willie Cauley-Stein
    Frank Mason
    Georgios Papgiannis
    Bogdan Bogdanovic

Malachi Richardson as well. They played the NBA Draft like a fantasy draft. We'll see how it pans out.

It's how we should have. When you lose your best player, the next couple of drafts you just swing for the fences. I'll definitely be watching them this season.

I'm disappointed. But glad it's only one game. Now Niang has an opening to stake claim to the PF spot. Could also benefit Stokes and Lima. Maybe even Moore. They could all get a foot in the door.

You may be taking SL too seriously

In any case, roles would have been set at minicamp before SL. Leaf missing a game wouldn't change that. It's not like they're trying to win games. Which guys get which minutes in which combinations is probably all pre-planned already.

Bill Simmons' (Grantland/ESPN) new site posted a profile of Ben Moore before the draft. Hope he makes the team.

Today's article is about F/C Augusto Lima. He's an inside player, not a stretcher. I'm looking forward to seeing him play. There's some Sarunas Jasikevicius material in the article too, he coached Lima in Europe.

    And videos from:

    Lima
Popeye (seems to like Lima and Stokes)
    Leaf
    Jordan Loyd
    Ben Moore

Pacers.com summer league article about Georges Niang. Read it for the bits about the passing game offense if nothing else.

    And videos from:

    Niang
Popeye (talks some about the new passing game offense, talks adoringly about Lance)
    Buckets

I could be wrong but I believe they are also being broadcast on the different ESPN channels.

TJ Leaf will miss opening Summer League game on Saturday to fulfill role as best man in his brother's wedding. Will then head for Orlando.

Niang and especially Leaf are both SF to me. They would only have been 4's to accommodate Paul George or whatever.

I'm really hoping the Pacers sign Moore. We need good vibe, high energy players.

It looks like these games will be on the Watch ESPN app on ESPN 3. You got to have the channel in your cable package though. (or at least know someone that does and will let you use their email/password to log in)

I'm out of town w/o NBA TV so this will come in handy.
