    Default 2017 Summer League

So far it looks like Niang, T.J. Leaf, Ike Anigbogu, Ben Moore, Isaac Hamilton, Naz Mitrou-Long, Jarnell Stokes

Not that Summer League matters really but Anigbogu is a pretty good frontcourt mate for Leaf, fit wise. Excited to see what Leaf can do!

I like Stokes. Dominant in the D-League. Can't really score at the NBA level, but he can knock some people around in the frontcourt (something we need).

When is the team being announced? Here's my shot at a depth chart based on who's been announced so far.

    PG:
SG: Isaac Hamilton / Naz Mitrou-Long
SF: Ben Moore / Jarnell Stokes
PF: T.J. Leaf / Georges Niang
C: Ike Anigbogu / Augusto Lima

I don't know, I was working off the list posted by Pacersalltheway10. He didn't have Sumner listed.

Yep. Here's an interview he did last week before the draft.

Where would you say you are in your rehab?
I'm a lot better. I feel good walking and stuff. I'm telling my PT I'm ready to do stuff, but he knows it's not time. But I feel good. To me, I can go play basketball right now (with the way) I've been feeling. That's how I feel. Everything's going well, I'm getting strong, I'm heading in the right direction.

Stokes is a 4/5. So frontcourt seems heavy. Though I'm sure they are going to limit Ike's minutes. Niang they might try to make a 3 (???). And I guess there's always 2 or 3 guys that get no PT in the games.

When do the "Myles Turner won't go to Summer League - we need to get rid of a player with that bad of an attitude" posts start?

It looks like Edmond Sumner is listed. I didn't think he was ready to play.

A lot of bigs... and no one that I'd call a SF, unless we're trying to convert Niang and Moore.

I'm disappointed Joe Young isn't listed. Dude needs to prove himself ASAP.

Still, this list is probably not final yet. Still have time.

Moore, if he can make it, could very well be listed at SF and be one of those Swiss army knife guys, similar to Draymond. I really hope he will be successful.
It's a new day for Pacers Basketball.

Stokes I think is a guy that could be brought to training camp, the rest of guys not named Niang or any of guys Pacers picked in draft are just fodder.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

That's a bummer, is Ike injured? Also wow did not know Christmas was 26. Looks like Young and Christmas will have to show what they are worth this year.

Here's my shot at the depth chart.

PG: Joe Young / Jordan Loyd / Bubu Palo
SG: Travis Leslie / Isaac Hamilton / Naz Long
SF: Trey McKinney-Jones / Ben Moore / Chris Johnson
PF: TJ Leaf / Georges Niang
C: Rakeem Christmas / Jarnell Stokes / Augusto Lima

Maybe we'll find out tomorrow about the health of Ike Anigbogu and Edmond Sumner
The first media availability for the team will be Wednesday morning at 11:30 a.m. Pacers second-round pick Ike Anigbogu and Edmond Sumner, a 2017 second-round pick acquired from the New Orleans Pelicans, will both be available to speak to media at Wednesday morning's practice.

I like that Christmas and Joe Young have to prove their worth...though both their guarantees come up July 1st so guessing those will be exercised, otherwise there's no chance they'd want to play for the Pacers team.

Stokes is going to be motivated to show what he can do against Christmas this week in mini-camp. He's 2 years younger than Christmas and the Pacers have to decide on Christmas' option by Saturday.

Scott Agness tweeted that Ike isn't 100% so they're playing it safe.

Yes, he needs to retire. I hope we get some surprises in summer league.
Lance is finally home. Whether he becomes our starting PG or he's 6th man, he's getting big minutes and he's here to stay. #llortontnia
