Well, it may not be a sweep, but barring a colossal collapse by the Spurs in this game, this series IS OVER.

No way the Pistons can take 4 out of 5 from the Spurs.
I had considered making the game thread poll question, "Is this a must-win game for the Pistons?" It sounds silly to say that for Game 2, but I'm beginning to wonder...

I'd agree it's most likely going to end in a Spurs 3rd title, but when people start saying sweep in the middle of game 2, something should be said.

You like to get ahead of yourself my friend, listen for the alarm when you make statements like that in the first half of game 2, with games 3-5 @ Det.
That's why I said "could" instead of "will." But, so far, I have seen nothing that makes me think the Pistons will be able to beat SA for an entire game.

Also, bear in mind that Detroit hasn't exactly been impressive at home in these playoffs so far.

Another Spurs steal! That's a big turnover just before the half to give SA another chance to score.

i said spurs in 6...and i still feel that way.....but more importantly...IF san antonio goes on and wins this game....can u see detroit winning 4 of the last 5 against this spurs team? only chance of that would appear to be fan intervention or another illtimed injury...
Of course, to play devil's advocate, just think back to the 2-0 lead SA had on the Lakers last year, and what happened from there...

one of the reasons ive always disliked the 2-3-2 format....IF the home teams wins the first two games at home....its much harder for the other team to win the next 3 games at their home...winning 2 is substantially easier than winning 3....its almost like a guaranteed the team that won the first two will get one of the 3....its just a bad format as far as im concerned....

i know its a travel issue...but in this day and age....they should change it....as far as im concerned having the home court advantage is even a greater advantage when the format is 2-3-2....

Well, the Spurs don't have anyone insane enough to go into the stands and confront a fan, so fan intervention is out.

An injury to Duncan may be the only chance the Pistons have. Considering he's already had 1 freak injury against the Pistons, the odds aren't very good of that either.

Doesn't look good. I think Spurs in 6 may be giving the Pistons too much credit, or the Spurs not enough.

As it is the Spurs play lock down defense; their offense is sharing, sharing sharing and patience, only taking high percentage shots, as I said before, except for outside interference, they will be very hard to beat.

in 5 because someone always does not show up one game, however, if they stay as hungry as they are tonight, then it will be a sweep.

Well, it's pretty stupid to think fan intervention will have any effect with the players that are on the Spurs roster.

one things for certain....those pistons fans that feel their team plays much better with their backs against the wall will have their confidence tested....cause this is definitely shaping up like the pistons are really gonna have their backs against the wall....

Since the hot start by the Pistons in the first quarter of Game 1, the Spurs have outscored Detroit by 46 points.

Guess it's a good thing that volatile Grant Hill isn't a Spur...

Naw, Piston fans don't need players charging in the stands to throw all kind of crap on the players, beit drinks, popcorn or money.

I won't even disagree with that.

But to have it have any effect on the actual game, the players need to go into the stands after such fans. And like I said, the Spurs have no such players.

i really hope its not a sweep....i shutter to think how detroit will react....first they get swept....then larry brown leaves them a couple days later....who knows what all will be burnt down....

i have a feeling this could be devastating...both to the city and the team....i predict the city will be able to recover and rebuild faster than the team recovers....i see a huge dropoff next year for the pistons-despite the core players all being back...

None of the Pistons starters in double figs
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

You won't see any complaints from me. With the other teams in our conference that are going to play well (Miami, Chicago, Cleveland), that would be one less
