    vs. :thepiston

I'll be interested to see how the Pistons' respond in this second game. Will Hamilton break out of his slump? Can they put the clamps on Ginobilli?

Is it just me, or does it seem like the national anthem sung by Kelly Clarkson was recorded previously rather than live?

Stuart Scott mentioned that Bobby Knight talked to Larry Brown, and gave him verbal support saying "Just remember all that you've been through"

Spurs jump out to a quick 10-2 lead

Two quick fouls on Prince already - does this mean that LB sits him the rest of the first half?

What a bogus foul called on Manu. He had his hands up and was standing straight the whole time. Rip throws his arm/elbow at Manu, whistle blows, foul on #20. Unreal. Crap like that is why refs get hated.

Detroit's only hope to winning anything in this series is the refs, hmm and in the palace their fans can throw some stuff at the players, that might increase their chances as well, but SA is a lot better.

The Spurs' ability to spread the court and move the ball around crisply is very, very impressive

im sorry...but this game only makes it that much more obvious how valuable ron artest is to our title hopes....ive always thought we could compete with san antonio very well....

without artest, and with someone like peja or something....i just dont see it...if u think that makes me blinded by artest...so be it...just seem obvious we need both jack and artest on the perimeter as well as a better backup pg...

Yeah, lets hope the Spurs don't make Big Ben mad if this game ends in a Spur blowout. Lets specifically hope Big Ben isn't mad around when there is 45 seconds or so to go in the 4th.....

    This is incredible
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

Does everyone remember how outmatched the Lakers were against Detroit last year?

Now it looks like it's Detroit that is completely outclassed.

This could very well be a sweep.

Hamilton, Billups, and Prince with only 5 points between them... with 3:15 to go in the half?

You like to get ahead of yourself my friend, listen for the alarm when you make statements like that in the first half of game 2, with games 3-5 @ Det.

Well, it may not be a sweep, but barring a colossal collapse by the Spurs in this game, this series IS OVER.

No way the Pistons can take 4 out of 5 from the Spurs.

i said spurs in 6...and i still feel that way.....but more importantly...IF san antonio goes on and wins this game....can u see detroit winning 4 of the last 5 against this spurs team? only chance of that would appear to be fan intervention or another illtimed injury...
