Using the Cavs as leverage for the Lakers to make a deal I bet.

I have little interest in the Laker's young talent, I'd be after that #2 pick. Deng + #2. Take a bad contract off their hands in the process, if they won't accept that? **** them.

If not that, Portland makes a lot of sense. Crabb and multiple late picks is not a bad package at all. I'd hold out for that #2 though if you can.

Another thought, in terms of Cleveland, we should be asking ourselves what the market is for Kevin Love? The only deal that makes sense is a 3 team trade. I wonder what Boston would be willing to give up to add Love, for example?
Boston will not help the Cavs get Paul George. They'd trade for him themselves rather than do a three team trade for Love. They won't be involved in something like that.

Lonzo Ball is a can't-miss franchise point guard. He will attract free agents to sign here. He will make everyone else better on this team. If we got the 2nd pick he's gotta be the pick.

Yeah, I don't expect them to help facilitate a deal, all I'm hoping for at this point is all three teams think they need PG and drive the price up. Wishful thinking, but hey, who knows?

Can we include Nate McMillan in any trade package for PG? please.

Anything but the #2 pick would be a garbage trade. No way should Indiana lose their star player for nothing. Lonzo Ball is a fair consolation prize, and anything less is unacceptable. All the small market teams should protest the NBA, and start their own league, where each team has a chance to win championship.

Welp, looks like I was dead wrong about him staying.

Having had time to simmer on this, here's what I have to say: PG is one *helluva* player, and we can't discredit that. I also can't blame a guy for ultimately trying to get to a place to win rings. The thing is for me, I don't see the Lakers doing that. I DO see Cleveland doing that. So if this was all floated just to get him to Cleveland, then it was a genius-stroke on his part. I'm not entirely ready to give him that much intellectual credit, however.

After all this city went through and his injury and what-not, it stings like hell. But I think what gets me the most right now is just how this move of his has hamstrung this team. Maybe it won't... maybe Pritch pulls out some miracle deal...but it could mostly certainly hamstring us for YEARS. And I just don't think the fans and the organization deserve that after these last 7 years. It's not like there was a bad relationship, so this is all just hard to understand and swallow. Especially after he just came out and said he was all in for the Pacers and winning a championship here. His credibility took that cliche hit that you just hope you don't see from guys. But PG is now in that conversation of double-talk that he will never be able to take back, and that is just unfortunate.
There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.

We will actually lose him for legitimately nothing if we don't trade him. We aren't in a position of power here. Pretty much have to take what we can get at this point.

The Lakers are being so damn arrogant about this, I'm starting to really hope we prevent them from getting Paul George altogether.

I actually have no problem sending PG to Lebron, I wouldn't mind seeing if that would be enough to take down the dubs. At least gives me something to watch. The Lakers though? Screw the damn Lakers. I'd love to see all this go down and leave Magic empty handed, wipe that stupid grin off his face.

You draft Lonzo to the Pacers and he will certainly leave. I wouldn't risk that, and I don't think he's the second best player in this draft. I think he's a starter, that's about it. Not to mention every player will be gunning for him every night. Draft Fox, Jackson or Tatum.

I'm fine with Paul wanting to go home, but I'm PISSED at lip service he's given about loyalty.

Something is not adding up for me. His comments from Thursday are different. What changed?

By the way, I hope he goes to the Celtics now. What could **** the Lakers off more than that?

Why do you guys gotta be salty and say "PG isn't even that great."

    So ridiculous.

PG stepped up his game in the PLAYOFFS when it mattered most. This dude went toe to toe with LeBron. His numbers were superstar like in the playoffs. I remember last season, he was individually destroying the Raptors in round 1, we should've won that series from our superstar alone.

And some of you are hoping that we should sign Hayward. Yet Hayward is playing second fiddle to an aging Joe Johnson in the playoffs.

We're essentially losing a superstar and you gotta respect Paul George as a player.
So great he couldn't make the all NBA team despite all the incentive in the world, and then great enough to get swept in round 1. So great the Pacers won 38 without him, then managed 45 and 42 with him. My standard for greatness is more than +4 wins.

I just like the feel of having Pritchard at the controls for this. Dude is a shark. He'll find the best deal.

If you're a Nate McMillan hater, then this is the perfect time for him to stay. Next season's draft class is going to be really good, so it's a great year to get a top pick.

If Pritch can get the #2 pick, what about flipping it to the Kings for #5 and #10?

Tristan Thompson is the only asset that the Cavs have that I would remotely be interested in....and I'm talking about REMOTELY interested. But....whatever.

    Also....Pacers getting #2 for PG13 is a pipe dream. Lakers aren't giving up the #2 for PG13.

If these Cavs talks are legit.....I'd look at this as a ploy by the Cavs to force the Lakers to up the ante. If PG13 went to the Cavs...he ain't going to the Lakers as long as Lebron is there.

The amount of waves this is creating around the league tells how good he really is. I have a hard time seeing jimmy butler, draymond green, demar derozan creating these waves.

Dude, I am utterly devastated, pissed and heartbroken all at once today. But I'd NEVER wish another injury on PG.

Unless you've been through something similar before (I have, worse actually, multiple times) - you couldn't possibly understand.

I'm REALLY mad. And REALLY sad. And REALLY feeling betrayed.

But don't hope he gets hurt. Those injuries can ruin your quality of life, bro.

I think a head cold would not be unreasonable as a parting gift. ;-)

Get Love, resign Teague and get Gallo, I bet they win more games than last year with that team.

Can you imagine the madness at the top of the draft if the Pacers grab the 2, and put AInge's possible pick at 3 at risk? Imagine the pressure on him if we swipe the dude he traded down for.
