I think PG will go to Cleveland for this season if they lose another Finals he will go to the Lakers

Question: Will LeBron go with him?

I think this is a storyline that's being overlooked by many here after the latest developments.
Or possibly Paul teams up with James to see how they mesh before going to LA???

    And if true.

    Pacers front office.
First time in a long time, I've been happy with the team that was constructed, and now they struggle. I blame the coach.

It doesn't matter if it was leaked to Woj or not. Any team trading for PG was going to do their due diligence and find out his intentions/ask for an extension. Making it public doesn't really change anything.

Fans love to talk about loyalty only when it's the player that decides to leave... when a player gets cut or traded, I don't ever hear that word. Strange...
You don't ever hear that? Bird has been excoriated many, many times on this site for dumping Granger the way he did.
Lance is finally home. Whether he becomes our starting PG or he's 6th man, he's getting big minutes and he's here to stay. #llortontnia

My son and I were at the final playoff loss against Cleveland. We talked then that it likely was PG's last game for the Pacers. Just sad...

I think he's really going to end up in LA long term. George's agent reps two other Lakers players. Randle being one of them.

By a couple of PD posters most thought it was the right move but missed the leadership Granger brought.

However really its sports in general. Fans want unwavering loyalty from a player but will never give that in return. Players know this and that's why they don't care about fans feelings(and if I were them I wouldn't either)

It would've been nice had he done it behind closed doors and not had his agent leak it to Woj.
Put yourself in Paul George's shoes for a moment. Let's say he's already talked to Kobe and others within the Laker organization about coming to LA. I think that's a fair assumption.

How would you put the Lakers in the very best position to acquire you as cheaply AND quickly as possible? First, you want to gut your trade value so that the Lakers would not have to give up assets. Second, you would want to greatly reduce your value to other teams and avoid getting dealt to them.

We are approaching the draft. There is a risk the Pacers deal you to another team. This gets you in a bind if you want to be a Laker ASAP. You end up going to a team that might not be happy when they find out you are a rental. But if you're up front that you are a rental, it's cool.

You see, Paul had every reason in the world to leak this in advance of the draft.
Lance is finally home. Whether he becomes our starting PG or he's 6th man, he's getting big minutes and he's here to stay. #llortontnia

This is paul george forcing the pacers to trade him now...

But its better to keep him and see how he handles the psychological impact for 82 games.

I think there's something else to consider with PG leaving the Pacers.

    Nike

They aren't so hot these days and since Kobe retired they want a flagship endorser in LA. PG13 is a good choice for it.

The Cavs have LeBron so why would PG13 need to go there if this is the motivation.

It will be the same as last season except we know he won't come back after Game 82.

Who wants to bet that Paul George's "rest" days will be when he plays the Pacers?

I'm almost certain Paul George only made this decision because Monta Ellis got suspended.

I think everyone in Pacer-land (PD****) is going to be surprised on what we get in return. Everyone around here thinks we'd be lucky to get a couple 2nd round picks. It's funny if you look up other fanbases takes they'd give up quite a bit for a 1-year rental of PG. The guy is a top 15-20 player...there's gonna be at least 1 team that's willing to take that gamble. But even if you get him for 1 year & then his $18 million expires that's pretty good.

As I've said on here before, if this PG was available during our ECF runs I would have given up 1st round picks & or players, not named Hill, Lance, PG, West, Roy, for 1-year of PG with a chance to resign him after we competed for a title.

Have some faith people. We're gonna get something to jumpstart this rebuild. Can't wait for Thursday.

What are the Lakers going to do? They have the high draft pick, they have Russell (please please trade him to the Pacers), they have Ingram at SF, surely they aren't keeping all of them along with PG?

I hope this is a joke because Monta is only suspended for 5 games.

I think they will stay pat if they know PG wants to go home

Meh.. Let the overpaid jerk go to LA. We don't need his drama here.

Good luck, and "break a leg" PG

Another thing to remember with Phoenix is they have 2 first round draft picks in the 2018 NBA draft, their own and Miami's.

As an outsider, I don't think it makes sense for the Pacers to acquire Love, but rather to flip him to another team for young players and draft picks.
