I'm sorry, but I couldn't help but laugh when they showed the nun jumping up and down cheering after Manu did something.

    Spurs 84, Pistons 69

That was a more than 30-point turnaround by SA.

How good are the Spurs? They "pull a Detroit" ON Detroit. Held them under 70, winning by scoring in the mid 80s. This is just a terrific basketball team.

    This was a great game.

The Spurs are a truly rare team, one that can beat you at your own game regardless of whether it is up tempo, run-and-gun or slow, grind-it-out.

Detroit is in serious trouble. They could get nailed by a "5-game sweep" of their own this time.

Is Ginobolli a better name for a boy or for a girl?

If he played a game like that for the Pacers, that's what I would name my next child.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

It's really amazing. They beat the Suns with both teams scoring in the 100s. Now they beat Detroit tonight playing EXCELLENT defense, smart offense, and good pace. Even coming back from a big early defecit. Wow.

If you do, then we have to arrange Ginobili to come to Indiana
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

I could count the Pistons that played scared tonight, but it might take me all night.

I'm actually as pleased as you could be after a game 1 loss. San Antonio played a great game, but I'm happy how we matched up with them. I look for a completely different game in game 2.

Furthermore, Rasheed proved to me that he could contain Tim Duncan. Yeah, Duncan put up big numbers, but Duncan also hit quite a lot of lucky shots.

Arroyo and Dice were visibly jittery tonight in their first finals. I din't expect that to happen again.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

I can tell you one person who won't be pleased at all:

    Gregg Popovich.

    Spurs > Pistons

I somehow knew that the Spurs would win this one. I also pick the Spurs in 5.

What a sahweeet fourth quarter. Manu was amazing - again. He cuts and dices his way to the basket and makes crazy shots out of nothing.

The only thing better than this game was games 2 and 3 of the Pacers/Pistons series.

I still can't wait for next year.

I thought Bruce Bowen played one of the best scoreless games I've ever seen.

I guess so, if you disregard the multiple airballs....

EDIT: I saw the Spurs Mascot standing behind Tim Duncan during his post game interview wearing one of the old "Don't Mess With Texas" T-Shirts.

    Made me smile.
