<---- Hansbrough smiling in the training room after Gerald Henderson's cheap shot. UNC won the game, Tyler was happy so he took this picture. Roy Williams keeps it on his desk.

Pathetic. No one even seemed genuinely happy during their celebration. Spurs revenge season after their heart breaking lost i can salute. They regrouped came back with their squad and kicked ***. But this was just pathetic!

I like DWest even now. But still I'm curious what he's amped about. Serious question. I have no problem at all with him chasing rings at this stage, but I don't get why an accomplished NBA player may as well been the ball boy or a janitor or concession stand worker for a team he's never played on...and be amped. Again, serious question. His presence did not change the outcome or really move the needle. Also, it's not like anyone cares that James Jones has 3 rings (or does he?). This victory, if anything, might cheapen his legacy too. JMHO.
Lance is finally home. Whether he becomes our starting PG or he's 6th man, he's getting big minutes and he's here to stay. #llortontnia

There no such thing as someone winning a championship and somehow being hurt by it. If you don't find it impressive that's fine, but trying to shame him for wanting to go out a champion is the sourest of sour grapes.

I am not at all sour. I am glad GS won because LeBron lost again in the finals. I also like DWest a lot. I am just trying to understand how a guy can be amp'ed in that situation. I guess he finally caught his ring, but I am not sure I would wear it. He was nearly in a casket when it was handed to him.

He gave up on this team. Screw him.

He could have been a mentor to Myles Turner.

I would have been okay with him winning with the Spurs, but when he hopped from the Spurs to the warriors, that was just the final straw on me giving him any respect.

Silver lining: maybe he hangs it up after this year and we won't have to see his 4 PPG tough guy act anymore.

Skip Bayless had an interesting tweet last night. He said "David West is always having to play tough guy". Now Skip obviously is a clown, but a lot of it is because he's paid to be a shock jock with topics like Lebron, the Cowboys, RG3, etc. No one cares what he thinks about West, so that was a genuine comment. Interesting to see that comment out of nowhere. The tough guy act is a bit silly when he's a 4 PPG guy. It was fine when he was relevant, but now it's just kind of obnoxious.

I'm happy for him. He had a goal to try and win a ring. Regardless of how much he contributed, he was part of a championship team, and for the rest of the life he will be an NBA champion and will have one bad-*** ring. Not many people can say that.

West was a great player while he was here (except for that last year when he gave up) and he did a good job babysitting some immature players in PG, Roy, and Lance. Over the last four years or so of Pacers players there have been quite a few who I just don't like personality-wise. West was one of the ones I really did like. I'm glad he achieved his dream.

I liked him alright here, but always thought he was over-valued by many. And like vnzla, I thought the tough guy thing was more of an act. Whatever it takes to get your game on, I guess though, because he played well.

This title for him is a huge accomplishment, just as it is for KD. I personally don't give a crap about either of them winning, but good for them. DWest should retire and maybe next year the static KD catches will subside and fans can go back to enjoying the game. Hopefully enough happens in the off-season that the competition between "elites" and "challengers" gets better.
It's a new day for Pacers Basketball.

He's is what he is... a ring chaser. No shaming it's just what it is.

One of my all time favorite Pacers. I hated the way it ended and I do think he became a bit of a ring chaser like (Karl Malone, Gary Payton, Charles Barkley) but there's no doubt in my mind that West was the number one reason behind the ECF teams that gave the Heat a real run for their money.

Many have already posted on the sore spot. I would be happier for Mr. West if he had not tanked the last season he was here. I lost so much respect for the guy because of that.
You know how hippos are made out to be sweet and silly, like big cows, but are actually extremely dangerous and can kill you with stunning brutality? The Pacers are the NBA's hippos....Matt Moore CBS Sports....

Winning a title is cool, so that's great for him.

Speaking strictly as a Pacer fan though, David left a very sour note for me with the way I really felt he mailed in his last season here, if he gives a better effort that year maybe the team sneaks into the playoffs with PG returning, but he pretty much said as soon as Paul went down that he was mentally checked out on the season. I lost a lot of respect for him then. He's a good guy, but I think his leadership characteristics are probably a little overstated.

Then he whined about how the Pacers treated Roy on the way out and the reality is he treated the Pacers the exact same way so it's a two way street.

From a basketball perspective, I'm actually happy he opted out of his deal, but I am disappointed with the way we chose to spend that money.

Y'all are bitter as ****. Get over it. Dude was a key cog in some very good Pacers team. Him opting out early even helped us.

    Congrats DWest.

A non tanking DWest wasn't going to change things for that team. Even with a returning PG.
